I know what you are saying about the beginning count. I would have had one in September, but only 5 for all of 2013 which is still horrible results since that covers about 750,000 hands. Over 300k hands so far for 2014 with one Royal. My Royalless topic posts covered the period from Sept until roughly the end of April. For the entire 21 month period that still translates into 1 Royal every 175,000 hands for the period Jan 2013 to today. Haven't had two 10k or less Royal hands apart in more years than I can count. There were a couple of other W-2Gs, but were for Deuces quads when my bets were way up on Deuces Wild. Actually, I am not predicting anything. Just citing the unfortunate math if a similar pattern continues. I would switch to a nickel game, but just don't want to play 95% games when I can achieve 97% even with the bad luck on the Royals. I had no idea until I sat down and added up the comps for the year that the retail value came close to my losses. Unfortunately, I cannot spend or save any cash from those. Of course we still enjoy all of the comp stuff just wish it could only cost us the .75% of total coin in which is about the right number for a mix of 9/6 job and 15/9/4/4/deuces. Note the job hands are roughly 4 for every 1 Deuces hand. I know the .75% long term loss rate if Royals were hitting on average isn't exact, but it would be very close. I could really live with that.
