flush odds on VP games
Why is it that the flush is almost impossible to draw when you hold 4 on these games? doesn't matter if it's here or a casino, seems like you are almost better to draw 5 than hold 4 cards of suit...

Holding 4 suited cards, you have a 9 in 47 chance, less than 20%, of drawing that suited card.
And, don't forget, it is independent of what happened the last opportunity that you had - still an 80%+ failure rate each time.
So, when it happens - rejoice..

Agree, some of these odds on the contests seem a bit wacked.

Throwing away flush draws at 9/6 Jacks always (but you'll still hold high cards, pairs, or 3 to a Royal), that will turn a 99.54% game into a 97.48% one.
The flush doesn't come in a lot, but when it does you're paid a minimum of 25 credits with a max bet. That is a big deal that a lot of people overlook.

I feel the same way being dealt a pair of deuces. seem to never draw a third one, but when you do it's like awesome.

Yeah, flushes can be a pain in the a.. to hit, but in the long run, you have to go for them or it will get expensive. I think they hit about every 6 or so tries in the long run if I remember. One thing worse than that is having a dealt flush, but also having 4 to a Royal. You have to toss the flush. It really su... when you end up with nothing after the draw.
