drawing AK suited
I have found better success just holding the A in DD bonus & Triple Double bonus as the K held a spot for the kicker. Got 2 AAAA2, one in each last week for $6K. Anyone else thoughts? thx Fire888

I play a lot of TDB, and am a fan of the 'lone Ace' hold, also.

The few times I have played the games, the lone ace bailed me out both times. On a game like that you ARE going to lose without the premium hands. I say go for it even if the math is slightly against you on some of the holds.

Vs. AK suited? I'm holding the Royal draw. It's a decent mistake in a 9/7 TDB game. About 10.9 cents on quarters. If the game is a more common 9/5 game, 7.1 cents. making a straight or a flush is much easier than the other 3 Aces and a kicker. It's even a worse error for DDB.

Yes, of course it is. But no lights go off, and nobody has you sign that W2G when that happens.

I hold the AK suited Always on every game EXCEPT TDB and SUPER ACES (or whatever the game is called where the payoff for simply having FOUR ACEs without a kicker is 2000) ..... In TDB, I agree with billyjoe, the payoff is the same as a ROYAL for AWAK, so I go for it......but of course, I only play TDB on a very infrequent basis, so it does not matter much in my grans scheme of things. But in DDB, even though AWAK is a formidable 2000, the penalty is too great to trash AK suited.

Except for TDB, WHA or SAB, I always hold the AK suited. Yeah it's percentage points over a lifetime of playing but I didn't practice long hours and strive to be as near an AP just to toss it for a "what if" hand. It's habit now for me and I don't like to deviate from form.
