who whoa whoa......wait a second, I was addressing the forum in general (and at the same time NO ONE in particular...or NO ONE of any importance)  with a totally hypothetical scenario.....honestly I was!!!   I swear!   Cross my eyes and hope to fart!      Cannot you guys see that!?!?!No one finds it the least bit "Suspicious" and unfair that, while I pledge to ignore a certain poster in the name of peace and harmony for the rest of the forum, that same poster happens to be the first one to respond to my post directed at the rest of the forum, and what's more, if you read the actual post, it is clearly meant to childishly wheedle and evoke  SOME type of response (as well as quash ANYONE else responding or posting something meaningful....?)This "ignoring" will not work unless both people are held to the same standards and rules......OTABILL pointed this out earlier.

Ok. As I said in my response below, I am through with this subject. However, in the interest of fairness, please read the response to DB's pledge, my response and the language in TL's response. I'm willing to forgive both this one time. Lets not have it happen again. Otherwise, let me reiterate, no more from me on this subject. I'm done.

I pledge, after today (January 27, 2015), I will indeed ignore any and all posts that seek to merely engage in hostility and backlash and anything that is NOT productive or relevant to the topic(s) at hand.

Good for you. Hopefully, this is one New Year's resolution that is kept. Now let this be seconded by all who have engaged in personal invectives.
It's 1/28 so how about keeping this pledge regardless if anyone else refuses to do so.

DaBurglar you really are a sad individual. You asked me to produce the article and I did. Now you are again backpedaling and trying to spin but you are only corkscrewing yourself into a deeper cavern.

Until a new ranking is out the New England Patriots will remain: Honorable Mention.

I guess you never read my original post. It's 1/28. How about making the same pledge.

Hopefully, both of you and others can discuss any and all topics on the forum without personal invectives, etc. from this time forward. Personally, I am through saying else regarding this subject.
When I responded in kind to DaBurglar's question about driving to Primm this weekend I did it not knowing that I was banned from responding. I read where he said "anyone driving to Primm" so I responded with my usual honest answer.   As for his questioning my luck in the two Superbowl pools I won it's quite simple. In 1986 I bought a square along with my father in a $1,000.00 a square pool. In 1988 I bought a square along with my father in a $1,000.00 a square pool. These pools were the type that EVERY time the score changed someone was getting paid. If you were lucky enough to get 0-0 as your numbers you got paid as soon as the ball was kicked off at the beginning of the game. I won $3,000.00 in 1986 and in 1988 my numbers actually hit twice.   Not too terribly difficult to understand.   Edited to add: I've also won when I bought squares in a snowmobile club calender raffle, several times acutually. Dumb luck, thats all it is.

GETTING BACK ON TOPIC:The NFL Network has been airing all week a bunch of Super Bowl related programming (obviously this is their biggest time of the year.)Now keep in mind, the numerous football "personalities" that appear on the NFL network (players, coaches, analysts etc.)  are the supposed "EXPERTS" and Authorities on everything relating to the NFL, so their opinion(s) count for the MOST, certainly more than anyone here on this forum (like ME) and certainly more than obscure writers who write (18 months ago) for an NFL website. They have talked (and talked and talked) about PAST super bowls and the instances of certain teams (like New England, and to a lesser extent Seattle who is appearing in its SECOND STRAIGHT super bowl and third all time) who are able to string together multiple seasons of Super Bowl appearances, and how difficult it is (and conversely, how many teams in the past appear in ONE super bowl and then you never hear from them again, or they go 15 or 20 years before their next Super Bowl.)They concluded that, with teams like the 1981 to 1994 San Francisco 49ers, the Steelers of the 1970s (1972 thru 1980 to be exact), the Green Bay PAckers of the 1960s (i.e. Vince Lombardi et al), and most recently the 2001 thru 2015 (and counting) New England PAtriots, it is all about having a CULTURE and ORGANIZATION who are dedicated to both winning and doing what is best for the team IN THE LONG RUN ... in other words, NOT mortgaging a team's future in order just to win NOW (this year)......you may win ONE year and win one super bowl, but to string together MULTIPLE years where the team is a winner both in the regular season and in the playoffs requires very astute LONG TERM decision making and planning. The NFL NETWORK is on 24/7 so I encourage all of you, as time permits to watch and learn what they have to say, it really is quite interesting and thought provoking.    NFL football, more than OTHER professional sports, is truly about TEAMWORK....One individual star player, no matter how good in the NFL, will NOT propel a team to the highest ranks, whereas in BAseball or basketball (or even Hockey), one GREAT Superstar can in many cases propel a team to the top.  It's just the nature of the game.....therefore, the importance of having a GREAT ORGANIZATION with great coaching and ownership is paramount in the NFL.I'm still sticking with my game prediction:  Sadly, Seattle wins a VERY VERY close game over my PATRIOTS, say something like 24-21 or 26-23......still would love to hear everyone else's formal predictions here!Edited to add:  Remember, it is GETTING to a event like the Super Bowl or World Series or NBA FINAL that is the HARD part......Super Bowl Appearances count as much as actually WIINING the game (and it is not hard to understand why.......think of what a team must go through in order to GET to the final stage, the grueling season and then survive multiple playoff games/rounds;   in terms of conclusion and effort, having everything come down to one final single game or handful of games (in the case of baseball's world series) it almost seems anti-climactic.     But do not get me wrong, winning the Lombardi Trophy is, once it is accomplished, truly appreciated by both fans and players alike!

Seattle wins 21-17. Expecting both defenses to play big. This is just a wild guess. I have no idea what the over/under is.

It's raining here in metro Phoenix. Some local broadcasters are blaming Seahawks' fans for bringing the wet stuff. Quite frankly, we can always use the rain so I have no complaints.

Looks like the forecast for the game on Sunday will be light winds and a high of 70 degrees. With that type of weather the both qb's will probably have record setting games and my low scoring prediction will be wrong. Should be a fun game to watch.

Congrats on the rain you are getting OTABILL. Enjoy it while it lasts.
