chatty, for the record, while i have commented often on these political topics, i do not believe i ever started one. as far as you deciding not to comment any more, that is your option. but, you are the one that brought up the subject of hypocritical. we all have the right to believe what we wish, but i will not let anyone make a statement that i believe is untrue, go unchallenged.

DB, you are beyond belief. do you even read what you write. POTUS making an executive decision does not have a cost. then, no one can blame bush for the cost of the wars.

I just totally trashed your argument so now you are twisting it around by saying "it is about the president's actions having a COST"....???? wtf??Dont pull crap like that....if you want to argue, argue, but leave stuff like that to Tedlark......In case you missed it the first time: http://www.answers.com/Q/Can_the_presid ... pprovalAnd sorry, BUSH (the wayward son, not the Noble Father) is to blame IN PART for the IRAQ mess, but CONGRESS is to blame for that too since they bought the LIES and BS told to them by the NEO Cons in the Bush administration, like Cheney and rumsfeld and wolfowitz.....

americans are quick to blame the pols for their problems, but they largely get what they asked for and they deserve the results

You must be a big Elizabeth Warren fan.
I happen to be a big Elizabeth Warren fan, just not so much that I think that she could possibly get close to the Presidency without being as coopted by the 1% as is every other politician, certainly every other politician of any importance.
But if I walk into the voting booth in 20 months and the only realistic choices are another Clinton and another Bush, I'm voting Socialist Workers again. I don't care if their candidate gets fewer votes than "none of the above."

Is it against any law to accept these contributions?
I just couldn't overlook this comment. While she most certainly isn't the only one taking advantage of this horrible system shouldn't the question be "why isn't it against the law to accept these type of contributions ?"
