play progressives, scouting means finding the highest jack pot + pay table and checking the meter rise.Okay. I mostly do quarter FP JOB, which happens to be progressive. Yesterday $1172. But  reverse ATMs! I lost $30 in under ten minutes on two machines. Meter rise on a weekday scant, as I was the only one playing them. Don't know if linked. I assume not, since my play was accounting for the rise. I won't play below 9/5 JOB since return is dramatically knocked down. 




Full pay JoB progressives usually won't have too much of a meter rise, otherwise they will be averaging above 100%, which most casinos won't want, and it is also illegal in about a dozen states.

The best meter I have seen on a 9/6 JoB game is 0.25% in Tunica. To be honest, I think it's the only 9/6 JoB prog. I've run across so far.

I agree with you guys 100 %. Being a relative newcomer to VP, I got caught up in the excitement of some of these gimmick games in the casino last year. The results were not good over a period of one year. I am back to exclusively playing the classic single hand games with the best paytables available ( $1.00 8/5 BP mostly). It took me a while to figure it all out , but now I am happier and my wallet is too.
