I played the guranteed play at GVR this past weekend.  What a crock.  I only invested $20 so no big deal but won't play that again.  Any machine that asked you to check an agreement before you play has to be on the loosing end.  I like to see what bank of machines the locals are playing as they are pretty sharp on what has the best pay back.  All the guranteed play machines were empty.  Bet they don't last long on the off strip places.  I think they would go much better on the strip where people aren't as knowledgable about VP.

Only way to win is to play Bonus Poker Deluxe on Guaranteed Play and go for that fat 4-of-a-kind payout.

How does the score work?You pay $20.  For that $20, you get either 70 or 75 hands.  Whatever you win (after you recover your $20) you cash out and keep.  But, you ONLY get that 70 or 75 hands.  It will be hard to recover your $20 in 75 hands.I've heard of no one who think this is a "good deal" except the casinos offering the sucker game.

Just wondering how much max payout would be.Quarter is the lowest denomination I know of.  You'd be better off I think, playing your quarters in a "normal" machine.  Basically, at the quarter level, you would start out $20 in the hole and would have 70 hands to win that back.  After you win the initial buy-in of $20, anything you have left on the machine would be your "winnings."Now, if you just plug $20 into a quarter "normal" machine, you would have 80 credits or a guarantee of at least 16 hands at maximum bet.  But, you wouldn't be limited to any specific number of hands.  And you could cash out before you used up your $20 if you so desired and lose only those you played.  With the GP, you have committed to losing that $20 unless you hit something big to get you above that initial $20 plug and within that 70 hand guaranteed number of hands.In essence the payoff tables work the same as on a normal machine except that they are "short pay".  Where you might find 9/6 JOB on a normal machine, the GP JOB tables might be 8/5.  Same with the other games.Bottom line...IT's a RIP Eduardo.  There are other better places to gamble your money.  Besides, I don't think there are any of the GP machine on the Strip.  Mostly only in the Stations casinos.

I played this crappy game.I found it really amusing when I was in the hole for $150.00This kind of program is very similar to 6 card Poker . . . it deals a lot of crappy hands and a few good hands with the glimmer of hope that it will actually payoff.Stay far away. You'll most likely never win anything.

The players need this game like they need sticky hold button.Obviously, I agree Ron, as well as do most people who know much of anything about VP.  The caveat that makes it something worthwhile hasn't reared its head yet other than as a promotional tool to get people into free rooms!However, last week at Texas Station, I actually saw someone playing it.  It was in machines that were roped off as though the floor was wet <LOL>.  Probably a promotion the guy had earned...I hope so anyway.

How much better would this game be if they did the following ?
When you buy in at whatever level you choose, you would get said credits to start. Then, you would have to play the contracted for amount of hands before cashing out. You cannot cash out before the amount of hands you choose to play. THis would give you a chance with break-even or better play to have a chance here. I don't think they'd do it, though.---CWA---
