In my opinion, ADT is an 'antiquated' way of measuring a player's opportunity to a casino. I believe, for it's own preservation, casinos will shift to other metrics to find the correct incentives to bring in clients. The casino industry, if nothing else, is a survivor - it will figure it out. I would disagree with this statement.....the last 7 years have seen unprecedented (and previously UNTHINKABLE) failures through out the casino industry in a variety of locations and markets.       Roveer's tale backs me up.......
OK - let me see if I understand your logic. You DISAGREE with me about ADT, but you state that casinos have been failing (using ADT as a metric, BTW). You then site Roveer as an example, with him having been "run off" (my words) by poorer ADT.
Sorry - I'm confused..

Don't mind Daburg. He's always taking things that i write and extrapolating to make his points. It doesn't bother me, no matter how inaccurate it is at times. We are all entitled to our opinion. Sometimes I write some pretty whacky stuff too. Others are not so forgiving.

richard unless your posts are aimed at me keep my name out of themSorry, I do not know or understand  what the heck you are even implying or saying with this ridiculous post.....if you bother to read the context in which I actually USED your "name", there is nothing wrong or disrespectful about it....unless you actually want to DENY you have (all these years) complained that I myself have somehow been doing nothing except "bash" AC?   The fact is, you HAVE been doing just that, and now I am simply pointing out just how WRONG you have been shown to be......And since I do not have a problem with you constantly (and snottily) using my real fisrt name when I prefer (obviously) on this site to go by "Da Burglar", you have no cause to object to me using "doris" in any of my posts.......Have a nice day

In defense of doris, and other posters who may fall into the group, DaBurglar I don't recall where you stated your preferred method of address here on this site? I may myself have once or twice referred to you as Richard, or Dick,so I am sorry for calling you a Dick when I should have called you DaBurglar.

Sorry - I'm confused..
I was disagreeing with the BOLD part of the statement.....I never said a word either way regarding ADT ......You made the statement that casinos are "Survivors" and I simply state that, the events of the last decade show that, just as in other previously regarded industries which were thought to be "too big to fail"  or "Too entrenched or established to fail"  etc  this is no longer the case. And even though ADT was not part of my statement, I would take this opportunity to state that the reason certain casinos (like CET, among others) are in the tank is NOT because of ADT or their use /reliance on it.......they are in dire straights because of all the reasons we have already covered, and then some:   POOR business management, shortsighted policies, inability to adapt or change as the landscape changes, etc.AND FYI:   "Backtracking"  or "FLIP FLOPPING"  (or whatever semantic equivalent)  is NOT always a BAD or undesirable thing.....and I am not saying it even applies here, but too often Ted throws this term out in a negative context as if I have committed some egregious offense.      Typical......try researching HYPOCRISY Ted.    In the meantime for the more reasonable (and openminded) amongst the Forum audience,  backtracking or flip flopping is a disrespectful way to describe someone who (for a whole slew of reasons) may have realized they either overlooked something, or made a mistake, or were incomplete or erroneous somewhere, and would like to amend or correct their position.   WHAT IS SO BAD about that?    What does TED do when he is shown to be wrong or mistaken about something?    What does he do when someone shows him a better way of doing something, or when he is shown an alternative point of view that might be better than the current one he holds?  Does he stubbornly persist? (probably, it seems, given his disdain for anyone who "Backtracks")Maybe he just thinks he is right everytime, all the time.....or at worst, 80% of the time....

You really had to go to all that trouble, all that "disguise" to get in that Shot Ted?    You could not simply just call me "A dick"  like you actually just did?   See, that's what I mean about you.......C O W A R D.I quoted it so you cannot go back and erase it....Edited to add:  Who really needs to "state a preferred method of address"????    We all have our screen names, that's generally what we all call each other!!!!!!     Man how hypocritical can this guy get?!??!!

You've said this before and I let it go back then, but now I cannot......I am not seizing upon "your words" roveeer to construct some "theory" or whatever.......I've always enjoyed your posts and stories, but I do not "use" them to fuel my own verbose posts....I do not need any help in that area......I'm not trying to be inaccurate, so if I misunderstand whatever it is you claim to be saying, I am sorry, but it is not intentional nor part of some nefarious scheme.
