Quitting when you are ahead or when you are losing tells you nothing about how your strategy is actually working.----------------------------------------------------------------I'd love to stay at the party but the roll is the roll. I think keeping records is going to be easier now that I am on the quarter system and can stay longer at a given machine. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Would you dump your DW for 9/6 quarter JOB? I think I'm making the best game selection choice. I can still have bad sessions, of course. I know all too well.

If you really want to get a handle on what's happening with your money, you need to keep accurate records over a long period of time and consider your results long term.[/IMG]

That is exactly what I do (at times in the past, I have driven my wife nearly crazy with my record keeping).
Would you dump your DW for 9/6 quarter JOB?
9/6 Jacks is a 99.54% game, Airport Deuces is a 98.913% game and NSU Deuces is 99.728%.  All meet my personal criteria to play max coins.  Jacks looks better on paper because of the lower variance, but I find playing it pretty boring for long periods of time.  The best day I ever had was playing JB back in 2008.  Today, my personal choice would be Deuces Wild because I think I would have more fun for my money.   Posted odds are calculated into infinity and there is no guarantee you will actually earn them in your lifetime.  If you are happy with Jacks, I think you are making the better choice for you.

Thanks. I'm still a VP newbie, so still find just enough danger and interest. 32 DW variance is daunting too. Had I been using the Cheap System, I could have kept half my roll and not gone bust. The system is looking better and better, I must say. Nothing like a few beatings to instill knowledge. You endured a lot more tribulations than I have. Time to trim my sails.

32 Variance? Bonus Deuces has a variance of 32. Regular deuces is closer to 26. Jacks is 19.5. And of course, everyone's favorite "crack" (DDB) is about 42, and TDB is about a psychotic 100 (but the way some of the members play TDB, their variance will be sub 100 with an inferior return. Hold those kickers dang it!!).

Deuces is pretty rough without those quad deuces or a natural royal. Acts like a crappy slot machine without getting one of those hits. But if you do hit one of them, you'll likely quit ahead. A string of wild royals or quints can do it too.

Bonus Deuces has a variance of 32.______________________________Yup, that must have been on the brain. I see a ton of DDB play in AC, to my great dismay. The full pay JOB areas are such small cocoons. I'm just gonna settle into them exclusively from now on and cheap out for 65% of the hands. Try and beat me with this strategy, AC! I'm done busting.
