Re: Are you kidding.......?
t I do know that in the case of Atlantic city, I have looked at results
(or summaries of results, or simply the "highlights", such as the LAST
ROYAL hit on a machine, or the total number of Quads during a specified
time period) for an individual machine! I've done it at the Tropicana ,
the showboat when it was still alive, Ballys, and most recently the
Golden Nugget.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Maybe I backed down too soon at Caesars when I attempted to do this after you first brought it up months ago. I had an especially brutal JOB session. But the slot attendant lady who answered my call was one contentious, argumentative person. Bad luck drawing her too. Can you paraphrase your request? I'm looking for pointers, in case the need arises again.
There are some things to keep in mind, but bottom line, when you really make up your mind that you want, or NEED, to see the machine's past history and results, you need to be steadfast in your conviction when making your request, and do not allow any grouchy or anti-social casino employee to discourage you.....First off, do NOT request such things during busy, chaotic prime time hours, like 10 pm thru 4 am on a friday or saturday night...even if they say "yes" in this time period you will end up waiting forever or end up being forgotten in the turmoil of business. It is best to scope out the available employees (slot attendants) and select one whom you either have a rapport or who seems nice and friendly and is not too busy or standoffish. The attendant usually, in turn, contacts his/her supervisor who then shows up and goes about starting the process of accessing the info you want.......again, if it is during a BUSY casino period, they may be reluctant to shut the game down to accomodate your request, depending on how extensive and involved your request is.....which goes back to my opening statement, be VERY specific and circumspect in what you ask for, and be reasonable of course.....If you are requesting info from a server-based system, remember that the results you get are actually NOT specific to any one terminal or screen......in fact, requesting this type of info from a server based Video Poker Casino is borderline in its relevance and usefulness, simply because that server's results could conceivably apply to ANY of the games/machines hooked up to the server.....you do see what I mean by this? It is vastly different from stand alone IGT games where the chip and "guts" are self contained within each individual machine. The Server eliminates all that......and I personally have YET to make any such request from a server based game or casino (and probably never will.) FAA.....when you make your request as specific as possible, and when the agree to do it for you, more than likely you will only get to see the info/results displayed on the screen of the actual machine you are interested in.......printing out the info is of course possible but the casino might regard that printout as proprietary info/property and will not allow you to take it with you......so you will need, when all is said and done, a NOTE PAD of your own! Or......if they display the results on the screen for you, you could snap the picture of the numbers using a cellphone.good luck and keep it simple....perhaps start off with something like "I want to know how many Royals this machine has dealt the past 6 months and the date of the most recent one......."
