Weird hands....no not the ones with fingers...

I guess we all have really oddball hands that have popped up from time to time. So odd in fact, that we still remember them. I don't have a picture, but about 10 years ago, I was playing 5 play quarter JOB and was dealt 3 Kings. Hoping of course for one or more quads, I ended up with none, but had Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten of hearts in that order on the last card on from the top down with the Ten being the last card on the bottom hand. Any others that you guys and gals remember? What spiked my memory, was the picture of the great hit Rover just had on the dimes.

If you play this game long enough, you will inevitably encounter all sorts of oddball things.

My most recent example occurred at Main Street Station in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago.

Playing triple line bonus poker, I was dealt three threes, in the first three positions on the left. I completed the quad on the bottom hand with the fourth three in the fifth position, and the four of diamonds in the fourth. The middle hand turned out exactly the same - fourth three in position five, and four of diamonds in position four - the same two card draw in consecutive hands

Perhaps not all that odd, but I did sit there for a few seconds gazing at it before moving on.

Just curious. If you started with 3 Kings and ended up getting an Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten on the last hand, then you must have had one quad (i.e., Kings, since you already had three). Or, did I miss something.

It is indeed very rare. There are 2162 ways to arrange 2 cards from the remaining 47. Thus 1 in 1558802 of that happening in a 3 line game.

Unfortunately I avoid DDB and would not benefit from such a hit.

I have seen twice in the past year where someone hit a royal from holding just one high card. I also saw someone holding a single ace and then getting four 3s on the draw in TDB.

Earlier this year I was playing 5 hands DB QQs and could not hit 4oak or a QQ any time I was dealt 3oak. This was going on all night and I was down to my last bet. Dealt another crap hand and held a 10, [ I like to hold a 10 on a crap hand in QQs cause you have the greatest amount of cards that can add to 10 and you can't get a royal without a 10], hit the draw button and got 3 QQs and 2 4oak. Guy next me was laughing because he saw all that I had bricked all night. I went to bed.
