a royal on joker poker only pays as a straight flush unless you were playing joker that 5 of a kind is not jackpot

I thought so too. In Atlantic City edition of Joker Poker, the 5 of a Kind pays 4000 and the Royal Flush with or without Joker pays 500 (same with a straight flush).

All other Joker Poker games pay 4700 for Royal Flush and 5000/5600 on some paytables. Except for the 100%+ editions that pay 4000.

Got to Horseshoe, Hammond and sat down at a triple play(DDB) machine. Within 2 minutes or $6 deep into a $20, I hit a royal on the top line. Moved over to the next machine, played Deuces and hit a wild royal in two hands Nice way to start the day!

How much were your payouts? I feel such a weight off my shoulders just getting a quad in the first five minutes, like Sunday.    All the stress and anxiety melts away.

I can't remember if I ever hit a royal on a single line in the first few minutes but when in Vegas about 5 years ago I was playing 10 hands on multi-line and got dealt the royal in the first few minutes of play. It was great.

I'm sure everyone who has hit one on a single line game in just the first few hands or in about 5 minutes of play will remember. This only happened to us once about 8 years ago in Aruba. We had just checked in at the hotel and the Mrs. was busy reading brochures in the lobby. I told her I would be back in ten minutes and of course headed for the casino which was attached to the lobby. In just a few hands on a nickel Deuces Wild game, I hit a Royal for 200 bucks. I figure the probability of this happening to players at about a thousand to one based on playing 40 hands or so in five minutes time. That is the only time we hit one like that. I wonder if anyone ever had a dealt one in that 5 minute time frame too. I haven`t but once I saw an old pensioner in the casino, so as I understood he played the first game and won in 10 minutes or even less) He was so excited...))

About 20 years ago at Caesar's Palace, I arrived in LV for a 3-4 day trip. My first winning hand (perhaps my second or third deal) was a Royal. I got dealt three to the royal along with two Jacks. Instead of holding the jacks, I went for the Royal and it popped up. My fastest Royal ever!

My first royal was in November and it took me about 10 mins of play for a 20k payday on a JoB machine.

I did hit 4 Queens on first spin once too!
