in an article in THINK PROGRESS, DATED FEB 2014, an article on abc.com and many others, it states that according to studies, one year after a lottery is put in place, funding for education increases, but the following years, funding levels then drop. the study also found that states without a lottery, over the same time period, actually increased,  on a percentage basis, spending on education more than those with a lottery. voters were promised that lottery proceeds would go to education. what they were not told, was that dollars previously allocated to education, would be diverted to other causes. it was in 1969, under LBJ, a dem, that social security funds were combined into the general fund, per fact check. db, i will no longer accommodate your constant requests for 'sources', until you provide a source for EVERY point to make. and, your personal experiences or some bartender you spoke to, are not evidence of proof.
