Help me understand

Post by ko king »

Okay made another trip to my nearest casino with a buddy. I have always had one complaint about the vp at this place and it's 4 to the flush on the deal and the conversion rate. I had him stand behind me and count the amount of times I received 4 to the flush off the deal and how many times I got the 5th card to complete the flush. During just under 40 minutes of non stop play I received 34 four to the flush off the deal and only converted the flush 4 times. This is something I don't even bother to pay attention to at any other casino I play in but it always happens at this one casino. I get so frustrated because I receive so many in a short period of time and convert so few. I've brought this up before concerning this casino because it happens all the time. I've hit some good hands at the place but I just don't get the four to the flush deal and conversion rate.

Seems like your not that far off the odds since it is a short 40 minutes might get back to the 1 in 5 say in a weeks play?I see weird things myself, like 4 to the royal way more then the odds say. But in 4 hours of play today never saw one. I was shocked. Last week one session saw 7 so I guess it evens out over time. Completing a flush

That's the thing, you're not that far off the odds but it's always like that. Like I said at any other casino I never even pay attention to this because it's not an issue. At this one casino it happens pretty much every single time we play there. I play $1 and $2 denomination DDB most of the time and when you hit 12 four to the flush off deal in your first 10 minutes of play and don't convert a single one you burn thru your money fast. I have without question hit far more royals and straight flushes at this casino than all the other casinos combined because I see so many four to the flush off the deal. Now I can go play the $1 progressive machines and the four to the flush deal disappears like magic.

Obviously the claim it "always happens" at this one casino is concerning. But the individual occurrence is well within expected bad luck. 4 flushes or less SHOULD happen about 19.32% of the time in 34 draws.

4/RF is such a rare event with me. I should probably keep records of it. The imagination really goes into overdrive. I see it maybe once a month. Granted my play is minimal.
I see weird things myself, like 4 to the royal way more then the odds say.
Tell me about it.  We see 4 to a royal all the time.  So much so that it's a running joke between us. Personally, I think the game programmers throw this hand in just to keep you playing.   Of course that would be against regulations?

4 to a Royal comes and goes with me. I feel like it comes about as often as it should (1 in 2765 deals). Missed one this last trip (spades of course..still waiting). Went one of two on my Dec. trip. That's probably an above average run for me. I probably play enough deals per Tunica trip to get one 4 to a Royal deal.

I see 4 to a royal about average at Mohegan Sun. Now converting them is another story. Recently, I did convert one to break another horrible 700k hands without a royal. I think I am up to 20k hands again without one. Not sure could be 40k or 50k since I have been playing a lot of 3 line spin poker. I just assume I am not going to get the Royals after 3 or 4 runs of not getting them in over 500k hands each. The quad deuces have kept me in the game well sort of. As to the flushes, I see instances like yours, but not every trip. I think I convert the flushes about average, but have also converted 4 or 5 in a row sometimes. vp is just wacky and that is all that can be said about it.

About 1000 hands per trip, so once a month is a shade behind schedule. Still, I will buy an index card notebook for my bag to record quirky, exciting stuff like 4/RF. It's annoying as hell. You know that you will only convert one in two hundred, if that.
