These type of threads only have one purpose. It really brings the forum down to a low level. There are no winners here.

There is no reason for Bill Ryan to post on the Recreational Forum just like there is no reason for me to post on the Strategy Forum. He clearly thinks players who play negative games are idiots and I don't believe any strategy can guarantee a long term profit. We should let it go at that and let members decide which forum they want to participate in. The only thing Bill seems to care about is instigating arguments. There is nothing wrong with disagreement as long as it doesn't involve name calling or personal attacks. This is a nuisance. If it continues, he should be suspended. What's good for one should be good for all.

What seems to have been overlooked by several folks, including Florida Phil, is that this particular series of negative posts was not initiated by Bill Ryan making a comment, but by this rather uncalled for snide comment from the OP.

I like the word dauntless, but it's difficult to find much usage.Webman wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 6:07 pmClearly it goes both ways. I get the impression that Bill has thick skin. I really don't think he cares what people on the internet say about him. Perhaps he gets a kick out of it. Perhaps that causes him to take a few too many liberties when it comes to talking about others. But perhaps there is also something to be learned from not taking things too seriously. In any case, I like the word "perhaps" and got to use it three times in one post.

The early Christians adopted a phrase they would simply repeat when confronted with non believers who assaulted them.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 5:44 amThere is no reason for Bill Ryan to post on the Recreational Forum just like there is no reason for me to post on the Strategy Forum. It seems rather appropriate here. Four little letters that seem a perfect response to this nonsense.
E.S.A.D.
It's actual meaning has been lost in time but repeating this mantra works wonders.

With all due respect, if you knew anything about Christians you won't be talking people into believing they can beat a casino. Christians care about their fellow man. They respect people who haven't been given the same gifts. They don't thank them for paying their bills.billryan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 7:14 amThe early Christians adopted a phrase they would simply repeat when confronted with non believers who assaulted them.It seems rather appropriate here.
