So the Dems are righteous and without sin. Tell that to the millions of babies that have been dismembered and sucked out of their mothers wombs with the full support of the DNC and their ilk.billryan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 4:28 pmAs Republican State Senator put so eloquently.
" I, of course, am not suggesting that all Republicans are white supremacist, nor am I saying that the average Republican is racists. What I am saying though is that the Republican Party is complicit to obvious racists and immoral activity inside our party".
I will add this. I don't understand how people can live their lives under the Judeo-Christian religion and then support holding innocent children as hostages to try to deter others.
And you ask me how I look in the mirror?
And I stood naked before the Lord and he comforted me. Come,he said, My father has blessed you. Enter into the kingdom.
I was hungry, and you fed me, I was a stranger and you took me in.
I asked him, when were you hungry, when did I take you in?
Whatever you did for one of my brothers, no matter how insignificant or small, you did to me.
And they'll know we are Cristians by our love, yes they'll know we are Christians by our love.
Lots of love there. That baby's heart was beating about 22 days after becoming a heavenly soul.
Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.

Children as hostages? Didn't this all start with the Obama administration?billryan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 4:28 pmAs Republican State Senator put so eloquently.

Too often there is a rush to judgement (using the phrase made famous by Mark Lane). Thus the incorrectness of the subject of this thread. Please read this article about the Dayton Shooter, Connor Betts.https://nypost.com/2019/08/06/inside-th ... nor-betts/

The Dayton shooter's profile doesn't fit the media narrative, so you won't hear much about him, but El Paso, well that's another story. No one except these individuals are responsible for these tragedies. The thing these shooters always have in common is that they are loners, are mentally ill, and send signals that they are capable of something like this.

With the Dayton guy, I read an interview with a highschool classmate. They said this could have been prevented years ago when his issues were reported in highschool.
I'm struggling to think of what could/should be done in cases like that. You can't just throw people in jail for life based on them acting creepy or even making threats as a kid. Can mandatory counseling fix a kid like that?
I drew a lot of violent pictures (guns) when I was young that I found recently. I'm not a violent person at all. Today, these things would probably be viewed as a "red flag." They weren't. Lots of boys do this.
This guy's attitude and an actual "kill list" of real people of course goes well beyond that though and needed attention. It got some. But how far do you go? From the sound of it, one of the victims was his best friend (who was previously on his kill list). That would suggest (before the shooting) that whatever the problem was, was resolved to some extent. But clearly not.
I don't think there is anything that can be done to fully "treat" and keep monsters out of our midst.
Medical professionals seem to agree that the only solution is to prevent these sorts of weapons from getting into their hands. You can put them on a "no buy" list, but who qualifies? And would that really solve it?
It's time to reduce the weaponry and get smarter about this, without the complete gun ban that some would push for.
I think we'll see the end of the AR-15 in civilian hands within the next couple years, no matter who is elected. We are well beyond the time for that to happen. Other guns can kill just as effectively, but that is at least a tangible step in the right direction. It's unbelievable how long this rate of violence can keep up with complete inaction on the part of our leaders.

There are some far left nut jobs out there but not nearly as many as there are far right nut jobs. Most normal people are somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum but tend to be influenced by what is happening at both ends. IMO the far right is far more dangerous than the far left. I don 't care for either extreme and I tend to vote democratic, not because I support the views on the extreme left but because I distrust the views and actions of the far right more.
