Please let us learn from our dreadful casino mistakes and return even each trip. Like Olds says, we’re usually up 10% each trip pre greed.

I have decided that the most pleasant experience that I will have at the casino is to go when everybody else is not there. No Friday night Saturday afternoon Saturday night Sunday afternoon Sunday night. It’s not so crowded and if you don’t like a machine you can find another one.

This is an excellent idea. As retirees, we can go to the casino whenever the urge arises. Florida casinos are very full at times. We prefer to go Monday through Thursday. If we are flexible, we can get comped rooms at most any casino we choose. That same room on the weekends is often $400 or more.nomadgurl wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 7:02 amI have decided that the most pleasant experience that I will have at the casino is to go when everybody else is not there. Mondays are the best days. The machines are empty and there are few lines to content with. Some casinos hold extra drawings and giveaways during the week to up attendance. We hate evening play. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays are the worst.
Tomorrow, we will be staying at the Tampa Hard Rock for my birthday. I prefer to get up early and walk down to the casino around 5:30 AM when no one is there but the employees. It's usually only me and the folks cleaning up. I can play any machine I want. I can actually hear the music too. It's paradise for about three hours when the buses start pulling in.

Agreed! After I get dad safely to bed at assisted living and make sure the aides and nurses have everything in order I’m off. Love playing in the middle of the night and early morning especially void of smoke and drunk wackos. It is also easy to machine hop if that fits your fancy

Happy Birthday Phil! Based on what I am experiencing myself with memory here and there and some other funny stuff, I thought of an idea for a new sitcom....The title would be 70 something. And who would be watching it? Lots of folks that are 70 something. I have a friend or two in the business. I think I am going to run the idea by him/her. There is no shortage of great actors and actresses out there who are 70 something themselves. Now what were we talking about here? Oh yeah, video poker.

Never work OLD'S.
Half the cast would forget to show up,of the half that did half of them would forget why they came.
Not even mentioning remembering lines. (looked for an emoji to close this but i forgot my point)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I think that 70 something show would be popular with Boomers. The problem is we are no longer the market advertisers want to reach, unless you count catheters and gold coins. I can remember when Boomers were at the center of everything. Things have changed and some people wish they would go back to the way they were. "Make America Great Again" has some of this feeling to it. I can remember when my generation was going to change the world. How did that go?
One thing that bothers me with many of the younger generation is the seemingly lack of "class". People throw around ghetto language like's nothing. Airline pilots have tattoos. Thugs are idolized and socialism is the new religion. Some day all those rebels will be old like me. I don't know if they will be any wiser.

What does the girl do who has Miguel tattooed across her chest when they break up next month? Do they even know or care we are still losing soldiers overseas trying th keep them safe? I know they don’t know who the vice president is. You are correct about the language. The f word predominates in every day conversation. Finally, boy is it hard now to find a local radio station playing 50’s and 60’s music. Even the 70’s music is fading away fast. I remember my 65 olds 442 had a factory am radio with just one speaker and great base. I could pick form 4 or 5 stations to hear my tunes. To me that single speaker sounded better than most complicated systems in the newer cars. It just had more depth to it somehow. Now back to ???? Oh yeah video poker.
