Re: Perfect Play???
$1M in a year, cddenver? Try to imagine how many hands per hour, per session, per day, per month, times 12. CD and Shadow are serious big game hunters and quarters, halves and ones tend to add up quickly. Factor in CB/BB/comps and you can see how they can hit that mark.

Yup, just over. I had a couple of Vegas trips where I got some $2 and $5 play in, but the majority was here in CO with our max $5 per bet. Lots of hours played, that year.
I was going to ask SM what his friend plays to get $25M in - $1 VP on 5-line? $25 VP single line?

Ed, I include CB/BB/comps in my won/lost $ totals, but not in my total play $'s - those are just from actual play. I wouldn't call myself a big game hunter except maybe in hours played. Most of my hands played every year are on quarters. That one year I mentioned about half that $1M in total play was on quarters. I had some real nice runs on fifty-cent and $1 play that put me over the top. My usual total play $'s are about half that.
I just put some numbers together to see how many hours someone playing $1 single line VP would need to hit $1M in total play in a year:
$1M total play = 200K hands on $1 VP
200K hands/52 weeks = 3,846 hands each week.
3,846 hands at 800 hands an hour = 4.81 hours a week.
As far as time goes, multiline players would reach that $1M in fewer hours since they're playing more hands per hour.
I get more hours than that in every week, though not on $1 play. I do know several people here in CO (small stakes) who get more hours than that in, just on $1 VP. So, they would have over $1M in total play.
There are any number of players here on the site who get more hours in on denoms higher than $1. They'll probably read this and smile at me crowing about hitting a measly $1M.

I'd be interested in seeing some numbers too. Wouldn't take too long for someone here to top my $1M. I'd also like to hear what they play. In my case it's mainly quarter single line, with some forays to 50-cent and $1 single line.

I play single line from quarter to dollars and some 3-play and 5-play quarters. I put close to $3 million through each year. Nothing close to some of the high rollers.

like you i play good paytables and within .25% of perfect play because of a error caused by oversight (missing inside straight draw in fpdw) .34 return vs throwaway .32 return. i like laughlin as harrahs has 50 play job and all levels job and nsud 25/16/10/4/4/3/2/1. this allows me to play the 50 play job nickels and run off points with .1% bbc the "average cost" to keep diamond card at 10,000 base pints would be less then $500 at 1 base point per $10 in play 11,000x10=110,000 dollars in x.9954=506 average dollar loss with little variance or with more variance on nsud about $275. Now with cash back and comps it has value since i play fpdw at colorado belle with good cash back promo. i got free flight and room from long beach ca over labor day holiday. otherwise in las vegas harrahs casinos are not playable 8/5 job. hope they keep these games for a little while as laughlin has many good games

Leaving for Vegas Wednesday. Don't look for me at the mega bucks machine. However, plan on having fun.
