Re: Looking for Quick Quads
Add the Palms and Green Valley to the list. One keen observation: NO ONE IS PLAYING THEM BECAUSE THE GAME SUX!!!
Oops, did I just think out loud again?
Damule,
What do you really think? <LOL> Joking my friend.
Granted it's not a game for ME to get very serious about playing based on the fact that it doesn't seem to be available at low denominations with 100% return and also the fact that it is multi-hand. Shoot, I don't even play 3-hand nickel DDB when it's Positive Expectation. (can we say "Tightwad"?)
But if you can afford the ante on the game and know the strategy, it is P.E. with 9/6 DDB so why would it "suck"?
I've thoroughly enjoyed playing it here on the forum and in the contests and challenges.

The problem with quick quads Mike is most popular places have the game in 3-play DDB 7-5 or at best 8-5. Even JOB has 7-5 and I saw 6-5 at Harrah's. I saw nobody playing these machines and I had to pass by several banks, even in busy casinos where most VP machines were full. Quick Quads will go the way of pre-paid guaranteed play unless the casinos loosen up the pay schedules to at least 9-5 and preferably 9-6.
While we're on the subject of 9-6...Has anyone noticed that 9-6 DDB almost doesn't exist anymore in multiline games except in $1 or above high limit areas. The only 9-6 DDB I found on the main floor of a casino was 10-play quarters at the Palms, did well here BTW.

Can't argue with that Damule....anything short pay generally sucks...especially when it costs you 6 credits to get the QQ option on each line and you HAVE to make the maximum bet to get it.
There may be some situations where a 9/6 paytable without the QQ option might pay off when comps are added in, but it would take quite a bit to make up the loss of ER.
I did see several 9/6 single line DDB machines, but the common table was no better than 9/5 with most being either 7/5 or even 6/5. I'm talking about downtown and in places like Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station. If you look in those places, you can find better tables but they hook the casual player on the machines that are easiest to encounter and those seem to all be very short pay.

Mike, I haven't been to north LV in a while, maybe I should look at Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho next visit for some good machines. Also, has Stations started that new resort up there, the Allante I think the name is?

EDC,
I think it's cool that they opened at that time on that date...what isn't cool is as much as I'm on this site and in Vegas I had no idea that not only it had already opened but that they even started building it.
Either I need to go to north LV more or Stations needs to do a better job advertising it. I get mailers and emails from Stations all the time but did not know it was open. I was just there the past few days and didn't even think to go check it out. Where exactly is it, across from Texas Station and Fiesta?

As usual, we get carried off the thread subject. Damule, the next two to open will be Wynn Encore sometime next month and "M" resort at the southern end of town. You can see it as you drive in to Vegas valley from L.A., scheduled to open next year. Shadowman can track it's progress as he tools around town.
