Why count the cards? Think they aren't playing with a full deck?

Hi marie,

Just wanted to say Im sorry this happened to you. It sounds like a horrible, humilating experience. Personally I would call the Pit Boss AND Shift Supervisor and tell them everything that happened and how you were not even compensated in anyway and how you just cant play their anymore and unforn you wont be bringing your friends or family to their establishment when they come to visit you (assuming of course you do take family members and heck if you dont pretend you do lol) & how everybody you are relating this experience to just cant believe the Casino did not even offer you a free meal after your horrible ordeal. I mean heck what have you got to lose? You really need for them to make this up to you or you probably wont feel comfortable playing their anymore. At least thats the way I would feel about it.
Well again so sorry this happened.

Marie You were bit by the Metro Golden Misers. I would of asked them if they could spell Greektown unless they came up with a nice dinner.
Why don't you drop Grabowski a note at the News? If they see there name in print, it might make them a little more sensative to their patrons.

Marie, for once I am forced to agree with faygo.

I stopped going to one of the casinos here in CO for not resolving a problem to my satisfaction, and it was less of a deal than what happened to you.

Write a letter to the casino manager describing what happened and ask for an assurance that it won't happen again.  See if you can hold them up for some goodies, as faygo suggested.    I don't know what your casino alternatives are, but if there are other places to go to then think about it.  That assumes your casinos aren't sharing their "troublemaker" pictures, which could cause you a problem if it isn't resolved.

ED, Cashout, vidopoker and cddenver: Your comments are all appreciated! MikeA: Your casino experiences are too funny! I trust you counted your $ very carefully after trusting your wife to cash in your chips! Do not ask how I got that idea! I plan to write to MGM. Today, I view that 86 situation as much more comical! MGM entices me with a $75 bonus play "carrot" every week and that no doubt gave me the courage to request a talk with a supervisor. I would have delighted in showing them the WINDSOR water bottle in my pocket, had they only asked. Today, MGM mailed an invitation to a b'day dance at V Nightclub with cake, gift & chance for $100 in free play. They have their good points. Windsor mailed two buffets that we plan to use during their 3X reward credits.Last night we saw a GREAT and MOVING movie "Slum Dog Millionaire" with tickets won in a drawing. While at the theater, I had the chance to see the video screens depicting the movie theaters at concierge. Every seat in each of 116 seat theaters was all clearly shown on each respective screen. No doubt the casinos have their parking structures under similar surveillance.

CUTE, faygo! Last Feb and March there were interesting forum discussions on valet parking. Newbies can click on search, upper right even if not logged in and then enter "valet parking". This is a handy feature for other topics previously discussed on this site as well. For those Feb and March posts, enter "last year" or "any time". I believe Jean Scott mentioned she does not use valet parking either. Once it took a very long time to get my car back from valet. The seat was set too far back for me to drive and almost impossible to move up. One time the gas gauge was considerably lower than I remembered. Another time, my car had a new dent. Those parking spaces at MGM are a tad narrow for a large car as opposed to other casino parking lots that have double yellow lines between spaces. A little walking is good for most of us to regroup after concentrated VP play and rev the metabolism after a buffet. Had I been driving in the legal direction, angle parking would have been no problem.

Marie, was this the MGM in Detroit that you are talking about? If so, I did some reasearch for you. The VP of Hotel Operations is John Hutar and his email is: jhutar@det.mgmgrand.com. Email him and give him hell.

I just remembered years back I went to Caesars in LV with my sister, her friend, my parents and grandparents. We spent over $1,500 on tickets to Celine Dion (was which not very good) and got 3 rooms for 2 days. We checked in after 5 pm and the rooms were still NOT ready and it took over an hour to check in. They took over an hour to deliver our luggage and it was only an hour before the show. We barely had time to eat. They never apologized. After throwing a stink, my mom was able to get a $50 dining credit. When we got back, I wrote a letter to the hotel manager describing my disappointment with their service and they responded back by offering a free upgrade on a future visit. Yeah, like I would ever go back there again.

I guess they figure if you aren't going to drop 6 figures, don't bother them and lucky they will even give you a room.

Anyway, let us know what happens!!!

MFP,Please send the email to Marie via private message. I removed it as a courtesy, simply because email addresses posted directly on message boards tend to get picked up by internet spiders and sent a WHOLE lot of junk mail. Emails in private messages should be immune to this because they require special access. Thanks!
