I think to keep from going home flat broke each casino trip, you have to have goals.
Win goals, loss goals, session goals, stop lose limits etc.
If you don't play with some type of money management and game strategy( ex when to change games or machines or casinos) must often people leave and spend all they came with.
Sure you might hit the royal but unless you set a goal before you started you probably will feed it all back into the machines.

If I'm playing a positive expectation game, my goal is to take advantage of it until my trip bankroll is depleted. Just because you are losing, seems to me, does not mean that if you back away and return later, that it will be better.
Now, ALL BETS ARE OFF if I'm considering a negative expection game. I shouldn't be playing it in the first place!

I
have played on these machines where you choose a card and double if you
beat the dear. I almost always choose no. It gets to be a pain having
to say no all the time. Seems the machines are always older ones.
