i had never heard of this variation of vp. is it popular? maybe i've never looked for it.
 
is this something commonly found in vegas casinos??
 
i was just playing it on this site and it's fun and the payouts are huge
 
i am assuming the trade-off is that you only know the first two cards and it's just good luck as to which pile of the two you choose? and also like if you are normally dealt 4 of a kind you could hold it for all hands but not in this game?

There is a strategy for the game as the top card of one pile will usually relate more to the fixed cards (or are =>9). The strategy is not difficult. The game returns 99.95% and is low variance. The knock on the game is that it is not as exciting as some other VP games.

I noticed it also is a very faced paced game. not much thought goes into it and you are quickly on the next hand.

I have been hooked ever since my first RF on my second trip playing JOB.   Hope you hit many more. Nice that they took a polaroid for you. I still have my first $RF on my phone as the background.

WOW, that is possibly the most antiquated vp machine i have ever laid my eyes on! Hey it is a TITO machine   And the ONLY game in the casino with a decent paytable.  All the JOB at the 25c and 50c levels is like 7/5.  5c and 10c is 6/5. I think there is some $1 at 9/5 and there might be some 9/6 at $5.  So they can keep these "antiques" as long as they will run as far as I am concerned.  I like them they are fun.

I got into it on my second trip to Vegas when I had bought the Linda Boyd book which has strategy cards in the back, and also discovered VPFree.  It sounds like Full Pay Pick'Em used to be much more common place.  I guess a lot of people get bored with it...I find it fun, the strategy is easy, and my money lasts a long time, which is really what I am looking for.  If you google Pick'Em Poker you can find some strategies online.

My last trip to Vegas in Jan I found Pick'em at NYNY .25 & $1 levels. Found 10 hand Pick'em at The Flamingo .25. Also 10 hand at The Palazzo starting at .05 up too $1. The Palazzo also has a Pick'em game that works just like Spin Poker.
