Re: Next Contest?
Webman, have you ever though about having weekly contests (Fri/Sat/Sun) with a nominal prize of something like free gold membership for a quarter?
Then your monthly contest would still be more involved with bigger prizes. Tis a novel concept Shadow but I have enought trouble making time for the monthly contests, let alone one a week. Maybe if I didn't chat so much?
I did notice you chatting almost every time I played. Maybe you could ask Webman to limit your time. Or, you could sign up for "chataholics anonymous".

I would participate. I'm retired! Why is Webman so quiet?

WM probably fainted at the very thought of putting together weekly contests.

WebMan would get more play if he did a weekly contest during the week rather than over a weekend. We retired folks don't care, and all you worker bees out there play while you are at work anyway, right??

How about the original question; when will the next contest begin?

Oops, we digressed.
The contests are usually the last week of the month. That's far enough away that it really isn't worth any serious whining yet.

I don't have any dates yet for the next contest, sorry. The plan is indeed to eventually have more than one contest in a month, with a "mini-contest" being the filler just as shadowman suggested. We realize that the contests are very popular so we want to offer more similar opportunities. I don't know when this will begin as we have some other features that we think you will enjoy coming along first.Every contest takes a fair amount of time to set up, so the mini-contests will likely be more similar in format each time so that we can roll them out quickly. I don't have any details just yet as we are still bouncing around various ideas. As always, thanks for the feedback and if you have any other great ideas to share or ideas pertaining to the contests we'd love to hear.

Looks like SM's insider contacts in the industry have come through yet again to give him the straight dope on this issue.
Prediction from CD: It won't take too long after weekly contests are put out in a cookie-cutter (standard) fashion before people start complaining about "these boring weekly contests that are always the same. Can't you do something different?"
