Re: Sweet C's Sick - Elation Hits
Thanks for the good wishes, Tony, faygo, Jim and LL. Too bad they did not work this time. The best thing that happened on this two day, two casino trip was that we were able to cross back to MI with the back seat full of a boxed DIRT DEVIL upright vac without a hassle at customs! The border guard asked that the back window be rolled down and did not mention the monstrous red and white box! It was a promotional give away when I earned 800 pts at Caesar's Windsor. I had forgotten about that promo and neglected to take the mailed flyer. Puleeze do not ask how much that vac cost me! They were out of the smaller hand vac that we did not need and gave out $20 machine vouchers for that, earlier in the day.The guy playing next to my multi play machine saved two and hit a royal for $10 G on $ play single line "pick a pair". That was when I quit feeling sorry for him trying so hard to accumulate those 800 vac ptes by 8:00 PM! That was when I learned that Windsor does NOT allow anyone to take pix in their casino! A guy playing DWB progressive at Greektown hit the royal for twice what it was when I hit it last week. Someone playing next to my husband hit a $4G royal. WE were SO happy for the winners we witnessed!

marie,
On our last trip (prior to Sweet C's hits) we sat down at the only two empty seats at the DDB Progressive which was closing in on $1200. The man on my right catches the progressive AWAK for about $600 within about ten of my hands. Then he catches the Aces again. HIs wife on my left holds a pair of fours and catches 4's w/kicker. At $1198 the man next to me holds K10 and catches the Progressive Royal. $2K in about 15 minutes of play while I'm sitting next to him. I immediately got up and left..
For me last week's trip was so bad I told those playing on the of machines with us to hit something so I could just go see what it looked like. Luckily Sweet C next to me did.

Interesting that the 2's w Ace kicker locked the hand even though it wasn't a $1200 jackpot. We hadn't seen that happen before.

This is a small point but worth noting. RE the vac promo I mentioned two posts previously: My VP machine showed I had over 800 points accumulated and I had previously compiled almost 200 points on another machine. I was told I needed 571 MORE points to "earn" that vac. I stood my ground. They checked another computer in the back room ?? and finally agreed. They claim it takes 20 min for those bonus points to show up on their promo machines. (?!) On another promo, this same situation occurred. In this case it pays to argue.

marie,
Several months ago I had been playing a machine for several hours and realized the card reader had not been reading my card. I wasn't sure how long it had not been reading so I approached a Slot Director who was able to go to a computer terminal, pull up my record of play on the machine which showed the card had not been reading for around 15 minutes. They adjusted my points according to my average play for the previous hours of play. It is always interesting talking to the Directors and tech and learning more about operations.

Thanks for the info, LL. I have also experienced the card not reading sometimes after it had showed green/okay after I first inserted the card. I was not aware that anything could be done about it. It pays to check that card from time to time!
