Did you hit any jackpots? Did you get a great comp? We all want to know!

Don't feel bad I watched a guy hit a $5 royal for $20K and lose back $10K before he quit.

Nice hits, but I just question why you keep playing these games at the dollar level at Harrah's... the DDB on the STP machines there is 8/5, where at the Borgata and Taj you can find 9/5... Quarter/50C UltimateX? It's 7/5...which is absolutely pathetic.

That wouldn't be so bad, if you actually got a decent level of comp or cash back, but at Harrah's you get about 2/3 of what you get at the Borgata and maybe 1/2 of what you get at Taj.

I like Harrah's property, and they have nice rooms and restaurants. But the VP is horrid there.
I too enjoyed the pictures hit on all those negative machines. But Im sorry, its absolutely PATHETIC that you ended up losing and not locking away especially that $6000 win. I think this is a dangerous thread that our philosopher Frank should chime in on. I see a terrible gambling problem here and Ill bet this is hardly the first time this player couldnt hold onto his wins. Whats the point of posting all those pictures when the player doesnt have the wherewithall to leave with a profit? Again, I say, pathetic.

Naturally, I say all this from my perch attained recently when I had the $20000 hit, took a check, and mailed back home to my wife. It really wasnt that hard to do. The main thing is, can this be one of those teachable moments? Some people can afford to lose more money then others
So let's teach...

I’m failing to understand why exactly are you passing judgment on me?  You seem more than disgusted by the fact that I wasn't following your philosophy.  I will always take a criticism but an outright attack is uncalled for and will be returned with same.  I invite you to not respond to any of my future posts.  It will make for a much better environment here.

My only regret is that none of the automatic emoticons have legs so I can't properly indicate a standing ovation!  (Maybe faygo can find one that does. ) I think you showed amazing restraint in your response.  (And please accept my apologies if any of my posts contributed even indirectly to the spillover of vile and hatred that invaded your thread.)

This is directly for Roveer. I'm so sorry for your loss.  Please accept my sincerely wished sympathy. I've posted the story below before - but I think you'll enjoy it today.  (Maybe) On a trip (alone) to LV right after my Mom died, I was miserable.  Thought about turning around immediately and going home.  I got all dressed up, took myself to a very nice dinner.  Afterward I fed $20 into a nickel slot, gone.  Another $20 into a quarter slot, gone faster.  Stuck $20 in to a video poker machine, won $300.  Wandered over to a progressive slot bank and ended up winning the highest amount on the bank semi-quickly.  Needless to say I did not go home the 700 miles the next morning. My very first royal flush came on that trip at the Wynn.  I held 4 to royal and caught the jack.  I was thinking throughout my wins that my Mom must be hovering around helping.  Mom had to have asked Dad which card was needed because she couldn't play poker.  I was very excited over my $4K win - but it wasn't - it was just over $5k (didn't know it was progressive).  I believe they helped make that trip memorable and profitable to remind me it was ok to keep living, and that they will always be with me where ever I am. To this day I believe they are with me every day - in my heart and my mind. Again, sorry for your loss.

Roveer, add my condolences as well. I lost my Mom a few months ago so I understand what you must be feeling. Hopefully, the big ups (and downs) kept your mind off your sadness for just a little while. Professionals always recommend keeping active so we don't indulge in our sorrow. It looks like you were doing the right thing.
