Re: Roveer 10/13 Royals...
faygo, then it is a good thing that I just gave the probabilities for 1 RF & 9 non-scoring hands when drawing to QJT suited in this particular Joker Wild game. The post would be much more complicated (and I wouldn't be able to take the time to do it) for all other situations that could end with 1 RF & 9 non-scoring hands.

OK, I've been away too long. Time to inject some math into the discussion.

As always, nice going Roveer. I especially like the last one, where you get nothing but the RF in ten hands - not even a pair..
The odds of that are so low, it is evidence that the machines are RIGGED to give royal flushes and not pairs. Or that a good strategy is to make sure you don't get pairs. or... something.
OK, I've been away too long. Time to inject some math into the discussion. Actually, given that there will be at least one RF, 9 non-scoring hands is the MOST likely individual outcome, making it not unusual at all. Without knowing the two discards, we cannot know the exact odds, but the probabilities are between 0.232 and 0.287 (rounded to 3 places), making the odds between 3.31 to 1 and 2.48 to 1.
Certainly it would be more likely (71% to 77%) to have at least one hand that scores if you are not concerned with which final hand (like straight, flush, quads, etc.) the score came from, but the probability of any other particular combination is actually lower than this combination.
The first probability (0.232) comes from discarding any non-penalty cards like a 3 and a 2 of a suit other than clubs or even a pair of 2s thru 7s; probability of a single non-scoring hand with non-penalty discards = 959/1128 or about 85%. If a pair of Ks was tossed, the probability of a single non-scoring hand = 982/1128 or about 87%.
(959/1128)9 = 0.232; (982/1128)9 = 0.287Edit: Sorry, I realize that it is funnier without the math.

Interesting, New2vp. But looking at the cards that were drawn in all ten hands in that winning pic, no game, not even JOB, would have paid anything for the other nine hands. So, at least in this instance, playing Joker Poker had no impact (other than the extra Joker in the deck) on the results.

My usual spot. Harrah's AC in the row of 5 STP machines in the smoking section. Diamond Cove wasn't working this trip. Roveer
