[QUOTE=billyjoe] You can play this game free, and without any sign-in, at Caesars' Games website.

Unfortunately I know this. I pulled this off about a month ago and won zero dollars.

YIKES !! And to think I was playing this game @ Caesars LV last trip at the $1 level. WHERE WAS THAT HAND !!

This game is in the Chicago area.  I played it Saturday.  Lots of fun, but I have to study it to figure out the right play. It seems if you get a great hand first or second, you should only hold for pairs in the lower hands (assuming you weren't dealt anything) to get the great hand to the top (10x).  Anyone know of printed strategy for this game?

The "Wizard of Odds" gave up trying to calculate it. That tells you how difficult it is. Generally speaking you have the right idea, but at times it's possibly better to hold two high cards over a low pair similar to Multi-Strike poker.

On the Wizard's forum, a proposed simple strategy was suggested that made the return about 1.5% lower than optimal vs. over 4% using standard strategy. The suggested strategy would be to add 4 units to every winning hand payout (4 units is the amount you pay for the "streak bet")

I have played the game at Joliet and Horseshoe Tunica, I want to say the game has bad paying 7/5 DDB, if so, then one would put the following paytable into a strategy calculator:
804/54/404/164/164/84/54/11/9/8/7/5/5

A strategy like this would be a start, probably would get you within 2% of optimal return with a single strategy. Unfortunately, optimal strategy is dependent on the value of all the hands already sitting in the 1X, 2X, and 5X winning hand positions. This could be one of the most complicated video poker games to play correctly in history.

On my last visit to Horseshoe Hammond, I won a $5k hand pay on this game playing at the $0.50 level.

I do not know if it is the correct strategy, but I just try to get a good hand (FH or better) in the mix, and then try to get ANY kind of a paying pair (ie hold 2 high cards rather than a pair of 6's) to drive that good hand to the top. Other than that, it is just treading water, trying to not lose too much.

With a paying hand on board, two high cards is likely better than a standard low pair. 2s-4s is probably a closer call for DDB/TDB. Also the higher valued hand that is on board, the more one should lean toward making "any winning hand". Given all the paytables I have seen, I can't suggest anyone playing the game long term. Even full-pay machines would still make casinos a decent amount of money at the quarter+ level, more than multistrike.
