How about a recreational player forum?

Re: How about a recreational player forum?
I don't think there is a problem with the length of the posts or the complexity. Professional VP players clearly approach the game purely on a profit basis. Recreational players make strategy decisions based on what's the most fun for the buck (whatever that means to them). I would like to be able to freely discuss strategies that don't make mathematical sense, but are a lot more fun than stuffing $20 bills in a Jacks or Better machine for weeks at a time. Does this make sense to anyone but me?

It does and you're doing it. Most of us like affirmation better than criticism. But it's difficult to get only the type of responses that you want in an open forum. There you have to filter the wheat from the chaff. Pm-ing someone with similar interests keeps out the riff-raff but limits new ideas you might want. It will be interesting to see how/if this can be solved to your satisfaction.

Interestingly, I would think most "pros" would consider this a recreational forum already. The topics that would interest a pro are almost non-existent.

yes especially with folks posting pictures of "hits" on games the very negative expected value even with points some i have seen were over -3%, no one ever posts what happens between these "hits" . you and i can easily figure.

Guilty - since I play in casinos on the Vegas Strip, and places like Biloxi. Not that you 'pros' playing positive EV machines in some saloon somewhere ever have losing hands.

Please do not start posting pictures of all 39,000 hands in between royal flushes. This is a public service announcement.

Don't be sorry, I don't consider myself a "pro". I'm just a little pickier recreational player.
