what is a winning strategy?

I'm a recreational player and I have the same problem... I want to play and win at high denominations, but don't have the guts or bankroll to do it on a regular basis.  My personal solution is to play a small random number of hands throughout the day at a higher denomination.  Most players do this only when they are ahead, but previous results are not a predictor of future wins or losses.  If you think about it, the correct play for a particular hand is statistically right at any denomination, so you aren't giving up anything.   For example, I play mostly quarter one line deuces.  My big wins don't come from quarter Royals.  $1,000 quad deuce dollar jackpots come along a lot more often than quarter Royals.   This is not traditional play strategy for sure, but it works for my personal situation.
