seems recently, i get dealt more 4oak's then i draw to. just the other night, DDB $1 i held a queen and was dealt four tens.    5 minutes later i was dealt four aces with no kicker, redraw - no kicker :(

I keep stats on all quads I get and this has been the year of dealt quads for sure.

4 Aces 5 times on Bonus Poker in an hour or so on the same machine at Mohegan Sun about 6 years ago. These at the time were 99.1% machines and paid points. Not long after, they changed them to 6/5 machines and eventually yanked them out. Also at Mohegan in the same non smoking section, the machine next to me hit 3 Royals in 4 hours by 3 different patrons last year. One guy had in the max bet of 25 quarters. Finally, and this was only a month ago the machines on my immediate right and left both hit Royals 5 minutes apart. I was dealt a straight flush also in that time frame. Lots of weird stuff, but I play 15,000 to 20,000 hands a week so I guess it is to be expected. Still makes you wonder though and usually, the slot techs show up and start messing with the machines in the immediate area when the weird stuff happens.

I forgot Sam, more ofter than not, anytime I have ever hit a Royal, I usually hit a separate straight flush in the same session on the same machine. They could be several hours apart, but still.....very very....weird.

What I loved about VP when finally getting into a long session the other day, I felt absolutely no crazy ideas or superstition like I do playing slots. There seemed to be many around hopping in and out who did though. I had 4OAK 6-7 times and just see it as a lucky day and nothing more.

when the weird stuff happens.
"Weird things" happen quite often - it's the nature of the game and randomness. A couple of days ago, I was playing 5 line bonus poker at Seneca Niagara.  Twice, in about a five minute time span, I drew three cards to an ace-high card combination, and got the three other aces.  On another recent visit there, I was dealt about six full houses in half an hour. We all like "positive weird"!

olds442jetaway, were all those 4 aces dealt or get with redraw? I don't know what the odds are but getting dealt 5 four kind and one straight flush in 1 1/2 to 2hr.. I hear you on weird stuff happening but this tops my list of weird. I did figure out how many hands I play a Hr. over 920 hands a hr. we were there over 8hrs time out to eat I played over 7000 hands on single line, so you know and I know all kinds of weird hands going on, and I be the first I make some mistakes on holding correct cards, and also held button didn't hold card yes I make these mistakes(lol) its funny when my wife watching play I ask her was there 2 there on the hand I threw away because three came up,she makes me laugh she says you go so fast its a blur to her (me laugh) I heard(think) that Mohegan was changing there point tier on vp was that your post I read? Yes was weird first time seen suited boss and two slot tech. seen show up, probably because $$ numbers did not match up screens and what was on display above machines and probably some kind of law where they have to add up right, so that's why the suited executive was out there?. You know I think I have gotten more RF than straight flush ok maybe not but it is very close. Good luck. Sam

Given 1500 hands, the probability of at least 5 quads and a straight flush is approximately (and hopefully I didn't screw up the math):
1 in 1,176,792

Given 2000 hands:
1 in 231,744

Basically a once in a lifetime session. I definitely haven't got anywhere near that before. The weirdest thing to happen to me poker-wise was getting 75432 dealt 4 times in 16 hands on PokerStars. FYI, I noted this because I was playing deuce to seven lowball and this was the best possible hand.

Those odds vman96 are they for dealt or redraws, reason these were on the first five cards no redraw. I could not get four kind on this machine on the redraw so left machine came back later and got four kind on redraw later. I was telling odds442jetaway, the weirdest, unuasal, strangest card hands have ever gotten at video poker machine at one sitting, that includes all the slot techs. and suited executive that showed up to fix display board. Yes 4times in 16 hands is a lot I think played that at small($1to$2) limit table long time ago, was at charity event they can play in my state NH and it is legal because for charity. I think it was dealers choice, which moved around the table. Sam
