Re: Banged up Harrah's Pretty Good...
WOW roveer what a great trip-Cant believe you got called 3x! Those are some beautiful handpays. Looking forward to your article.
Not sure how it worked, but I had quite a few entries from my previous play (I think during the month of August). I was not planing on staying but once my name was called I figured what the heck. One of the the exec's doing the drawing was telling me that the last week one guy got called a few times and then decided to leave and they ended up calling his name 2 more times. I figured, as long as they are paying me, I'll hang out. I don't normally make 3k for a days work, so for me it was a good deal. As it turns out I was able to convert the free play to real money plus a lot more. That's not always the easiest thing to do. Roveer

Very nice, Roveer. I especially like the quad Aces holding the lone Ace. As far as your "problem", consider this. You play enough to know what constitutes a "good" trip/session. Prior to walking into the casino, thing about that, and from past experience, recognize when things have gone your way in the short term. Convince yourself that, in all likelihood, if you are lucky to hit that "good" point, know that playing further will not increase your bankroll. I know that it is tough, but I find it is the only way that works for me.

Oh believe me, that's pretty much exactly the philosophy that I try to employ when playing. I've been around this long enough to fully understand that I was lucky to get the initial great hits. For some reason, well actually several reasons, I have a hard time saying good enough. Even when it is good. I am dialing this in and will eventually get a handle on it.

What I do when i win a significant amount is apply it to something I want or need. So I won $5700.00 at Taj and knew I wanted to replace a foggy window on my house and repair a dent in my car. That was enough on that day to make me stop. It feels good to have those things done. If you don,t need or want anything (not probable) then I have no clue. Short of a spouse, partner or friend calling you and saying"It,s 3AM, that's enough", everyone has to get their own reason to stop. Remember there's no sleep like that of a winner!
