Nice hits Larry & Sweet C/wife and very nice birthday gift(from casino)with your timing of deal button. H.B. Sam

I know it is mostly timing not skill.

I've played this same machine and sometimes its sister for at least three years tracking it wherever it goes in the casino so we are old sweethearts and like some relationships it has several quirks. If you play it too fast for too long, it begins to slow down, the touch screen quits responding, and it hesitates dealing a hand. At other times it seems to deals hands in a "Turbo" mode even when the speed is set slow. Whoa! to you when its in hyperdrive - its almost always a loser. So I'm constantly changing speeds, buttons hit, number of hands, sometimes even games all to be "Lucky" enough for the timing to be just right.

Also my sessions are often 6-8 hours at a time with/without a lunch/dinner break. I'm probably playing 1500-2000 hands/hour and over a long session the probability of a RF may increase. I can't tell you how many trips I've played for hours and no RF. On one trip I played 16 hours before a RF and the next day's session 25 minutes when I RF popped up. Gotta love that timing!!!

Larry you and Sweet C are definitely on a Royal Roll, congrats.

Lately, its been a family affair. Our son-in-law who is almost allergic to VP (slots 95% time) somehow sat down and hit the Prog. RF the weekend before I began my run. His playing VP and hitting a RF is like snow on Christmas in Houston.

Oh yeah! that happened too.

"The 2004 Christmas Eve Snowstorm was a rare weather event that took place in Louisiana and Texas in the United States on December 24, 2004..... It was the most significant snow for the Texas Gulf Coast, and deep South Texas, since February 1895." Wikipedia

I remember that snowstorm. We live about 3 hours north of you and were anticipating some of that snow ourselves.  Most of it unfortunately remained to our east and to our south.

Do you still live north of Houston? If you're in Texas we need to try to meet.

We live between Jacksonville and Tyler Texas.  Would love to meet up.  We play all over the country at CET properties.  Our home property is Horseshoe Bossier City.  We are leaving this weekend for a Sunday to Wednesday trip to Harrah's New Orleans.  We haven't been there since the first of the year.  Last time there hit 2 royals.  I read somewhere that they have taken out some of their better machines.  The machines I hit my royals on were in front of Besh Steakhouse.  They were 3/ 5 play dime machines where you had to play 30 or 50 dimes at a time to get the full pay royals.  At $800 a royal it was enough for a profitable trip.
If you can get away let us know.  My wife belongs to another website "Slot Fanatics" and they are having their meet and greet there.  Most of them including my wife are slot players instead if video poker players.  There are several events planned and it would be fun to hang out.  Maybe you can help me convert my wife into a video poker player.  I have been trying for years.  She plays a little here and there but has never hit anything big like a royal or aces with a kicker.

Give us a heads up the next time you're heading for Lake Charles. Would love to meet up with you. Good luck in NOLA. Hit a few RF for us.

Larry, have you and your wife ever played at Horseshoe Bossier City?  They have a lot of good VP there.  We are going there Nov. 1st weekend to see Dianna Ross.  We have seen many really good concerts there.  If you would like to meet us there some time I am sure we can get you a free room.  We also get unlimited  food and beverages so you would not have to pay for meals either.

That may be the last time this year we go to Bossier City.  My wife has us going to Laughlin / Vegas on one trip and then Tahoe on another trip.  We usually go to Horseshoe for New Years Eve but have decided this year unless they have a really great concert booked that we have not already seen before, we are going to stay at home and go to friends house and have a  bonfire.

Let's stay in touch and try to set something up.  Best of luck in keeping your winning streak going.

Love Horseshoe, used to visit when we visited daughter in college while at SFA but now its too far unless its on our way to/from somewhere else. The streak is now officially over but loved it while it was going. Now I just have to keep from playing it all back too quickly.
