Re: Time to discuss how to Improve VP
Vman the video poker in Chicago looks busier only because the players sitting in front of the machines aren't as "svelte" as the players in Tunica. This makes the Chicago video poker "appear" to be busier.
Kidding people, kidding. I'm a lifelong Chicagoan.
So, if you occupy more space at your machine, it looks like the casino is busier?
Break out the seat belt extenders.

Lol! Harrahs Joliet's vp area is definitely designed for a "svelte" person though!
[QUOTE=ko king I don't know how long you have been playing in Tunica but I can remember the day when it was tough to get a machine a lot of times. There's a lot of competition in the Tunica area and there's also a casino in West Memphis.[/QUOTE]
A one off visit to harrahs (now Resorts) in 2004, and periodically since 2009. It looked busiest that first trip. Even when Roadhouse still had 99.96% DDB and Deuces, it still looked pretty dead in the evenings. But it did have a good senior crowd in the morning which no longer exists.
VP is in critical condition from a player volume standpoint in Tunica unlike other places I have visited, imo.

Many of the vp machines at Mohegan have the seat so far back from the mcahine that you have to either sit on the edge up front with no padding or sit all the way back and with short arms still not reach the machine. Obviously built for the large set. I also noticed at MGM/Foxwoods which I rarely go to, they have giant width oversize cushions which are actually pretty comfortable. At least at Mohegan, the chairs are easily removeable so anyone with a wheelchair can roll right up.

We hate the casinos that have those fixed chairs - back and arm killers.

I've posted a new topic "State of Casinos" which has some data on how states have expanded casino approval.
