The Quad is the old Imperial Palace, across the street from Caesars...

Gold Coast is not on the strip. It is about a mile away across from Rio and also across from the Palms.
Meh....I must have confused it with Barbary coast, but either way I know you can SEE the Gold Coast sign from certain vantage points on the strip! But pointing out the gold coast is off strip actually makes my original point all the more relevant....hard to believe an "OFF-strip" property would be so horrendous! Usually people head to off strip properties (like the ORleans, and Arizona Charlies) to do better at the games......And I cant believe Doris won ALL SIX days at the old Imperial Palace!!!! I mean to say, I am glad for her success, but wow.....talk about luck. I would love to know MORE about what game(s) specifically Doris played during her successful run........what were the games Doris? Paytables?????

I just did 4 days, staying at Main Street Station downtown. Played mostly at MS and Cal and played all day, each day. Came home with hundreds more than I left with, great for me. One W2 at the Cal on SuperTimesPay Spin poker for around $1400. That machine can really suck your money away, it is 54 nickels to qualify for the times pay each spin. It is the only machine of it's type I can find so I've done my part in the past to support it. Also, had a lot of wins at Ultimate X, allowing me to play with their money and give some to my playing friend.
You just never know when you will have a good run. Just have to be smart during the bad times to walk away.....not easy for those of us who LOVE playing poker.

The Barbary Coast became Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Casino. It is now The Cromwell, a boutique hotel and casino, with a restaurant by my pal Giada. It is part of Caesars.

i believe the car museum is still there cause they had 2 older cars roped off for show where you enter the flamingo from the quad or leave the the flamingo to go to the quad
