DaBurglar I find it ironic that you can claim to have no experience with "major clinical depression" and you also express other thoughts on related matter. While at the same time you are claiming that I am bipolar and have other mental issues too. What a joke.

This is the last post from me on the Forum. I rarely am answered or even generate even a reply, so my valueless opinions will be kept to myself.
Sorry to see you leave over not getting replies or the sort. I value your opinion. You will be missed.
Edited to add....The subject at hand can be a slippery slope and I read your entire post BUT did not have a idea how to approach it sorry

I know how you feel Cook and also hate to see you go. About a year ago I started a thread concerning the lack of activity on this forum even though there are over 300,000 members. There was a little bit of back and forth discussion but not much. It seems that there is a core of about 30 people that post regularly and others coming and going and I do not know what can be done to make this forum more active. The other forum I post on, Slot Fanatics, has a lot fewer members, but there is easily 50 times more activity on it a day. They have meet and greets and everybody is always courteous and go out of there way to be nice to one another.
Overall, I agree with you and in many ways am disappointed with this forum but I am hanging in there hoping it will get better. Best of luck to you battling severe depression. I hope you reconsider and continue to post on this forum.

Cook, I have had several friends and family members who suffer from clinical depression. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope you will reconsider and post again.

You seriously could not just keep it focused on the original poster's sincere expressions? You just had to take one more idiotic, childish, self centered pot shot at me, rather than even ACKNOWLEDGE the original poster? What you and I say to each other in our ABSURD "feud" does not need to spill over into everyone else's threads...But at least now everyone can see you for what you are...... .

I AM going to take this opportunity to thank you all for your kind words. You can't explain depression or make someone else understand what it is like. That is why it could become a killer. You try and reach out to people, and you get no reply. Most people would not think it is such a big deal, but I let it bother me..sorry. It is a supermagnified sensitivity issue, but I just thought on a very small scale, I could give you a small insight on Robin's death and how out of control it can become. You cannot see it, and you cannot just look at someone and tell what they might do. They can be the healthiest person you know, but on the inside they are in totally disarray. Like I said, I have a pretty good handle on my meds, but illness (such as my knee problem that many of you have heard) just knocks you out of the park. Don't be afraid to talk about it, and a good hug to someone who has it will do WONDERS for them. It will also do wonders for you. If you will allow me to tuck my tail between my legs, I will post. Sorry.

cookie you don't have any reason what so ever to tuck your tail between your legs. Many of us here have expressed to the forum our personal issues and challenges and we have received much support. People who keep things bottled up inside are often causing more pain but they don't realize it and just try to cope.
The human touch can often perform miracles. I wish you well my friend.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I have valued your contributions to this forum even if I have not responded. Glad to see you have reconsidered and will continue to post. Look forward to reading them in the future.

I am glad you have decided to stay cook1947. Believe it or not a few of the members like yourself who don't get much response are my favorites. OTABILL...you also always post good quality stuff. The constant back and forth fighting and such needs guys/gals like yourself that just come in and post facts or links to articles. Without it this forum would completely fall apart into one big fight. Who would want to be part of that....not me.
