Back from a Mohegan trip today. The little gas and beer money method worked great, but unfortunately, the profit, gas, and beer vanished on a TDB game that was not hitting anything.
I decided to start with 5 quarters on Bonus Poker Deluxe and stay at that level unless the hundred I put in disappeared. They I would replace it and bet 10 instead of 5. Anyway, the machine hit 3 quads in less than hour and that gives you 300 bucks plus whatever credits you had remaining. In my case about 360 dollars was cashed out on the BPD game, but as posted above was blown away in no time at all. That was entirely my fault for not keeping it and going home with something more and not less than I walked in with.

On the plus side, I got to meet a beautiful new brunette waitress with brains to boot. I was the only one playing in her section about 4 AM and she stopped to rest her tired feet and chat for a few minutes. She could be a twin to my Mrs. when she was about 30 not that the Mrs. still doesn't still look like a beautiful 30 something brunette beauty to me. ( Just in case she reads this ) and of course I mean it.

sorry you lost your early winnings olds (300 bucks on BPDX 25 cents is nothing to sneeze at, you did well)......I personally have never succeeded at TDB except during my hot streak on single line 5 star dreamcard back in 2012 (I hit AWAK three times in a 6 week span, 25 cents of course)In my opinion the Mohegan waitresses are the best (although since they work for the same company who owns Resorts in AC, I'm wary of their management team mistreating them, afterall, it was these guys who FORCED the resorts wiatresses, who were not UNION, to wear those outlandish roaring 1920s outfits, regardless of AGE.....)

Sounds like you are a night owl DB like me or a really early riser. Just in case, I should be up there again later this eve and AM tomorrow. Ultra low budget day this time though. Too bad GM shut down Saturn production. I would be a good commercial for them. I have 2k more miles to go to hit 300k on the clock. The entire drivetrain is still all original. Did have to go for a starter a couple of days ago, but hey she is entitled to that after that many Mohegan trips. She still gives nearly 40 mpg to boot. Now, having said that, I hope I haven't jinxed the last 2k miles to reach a big milestone.
By the way, next time you play if you do play Multi Strike Poker, I find that I can do very well playing the first two lines and forget the 3rd and 4th. Costs too much to wait out for a hot streak. Ok if you have a huge budget and a million hours to play, but most of us don't. It is still nice to hit double on that second line at half the cost of playing the other two. I think I mentioned before. There is one left at Mohegan with a nickel and quarter option in the same machine. It is located on the right at the top of the wheelchair ramp in the old poker room. Paytables on this machine are in the 98-99 range too, but no points are paid. It does credit status points though. Not getting points is not such a big deal anymore since you need to cycle almost 500 bucks through just for 1 point to spend on overpriced items. If those machines stop crediting status points as well, they can kiss my business goodbye.

Probably why GM quit making them. They lasted too long, and you didn't need to buy a new car.

I guess I really did jinx the car talking about it here. It is back in the shop again. All the symptoms of the new starter having failed. Will have to wait and see. No Mohegan trip yesterday or today due to the car situation. Probably saved money anyway. Last trip the little Bonus Deluxe method did fail. I went 6 hours on Bonus Poker Deluxe or about 4,000 hands without a single quad. That is very rare, but does happen. The bets just got too high to be even if a single quad hit. I still think this method will be good most of the time if you cut it off after losing 60 bucks or so or taking your small wins before that happens and run. I am curently in such an ice cold streak I don't really know what to try next. I think I will just fall back on Fla Phil's method. Others besides Phil are trying it and having good luck with it. I will keep my bets to one coin quarter and then 5 quarters when called for until things start to turn back in a positive direction. PS...DB...On Dec 21st at Mohegan, there is a UCONN vs UCLA women's basketball game. A special event. So far, I have only been able to get 2 tickets for the wife and I, but should more come my way, I will post in case you can make it.

Just a guess on my part, but she may have run it down real low on engine oil. You have to check the oil at least once a week. They don't smoke, but are known for their oil consumption. I can live with that though. Hope I get it back soon. I am getting thirsty and some of the fall microbrews are now on tap up at Mohegan. I swear if the cards don't get better soon, I am going to sit there and plunk away playing one nickel all day and enjoy myself with a few brews and some good company.

I have 190k on my 2001 Toyota Avalon. I could buy a new car, but why bother?

If someone wants me just for my 'wheels', chances are, they may be underwhelmed by my 'piston'.
