This time, I started with full-pay deuces, and I got 158 % EV.
For full pay deuces, I get 336%.
OK - I see what am I was missing..

The Full Pay Deuces in VPW is 25-15-9-5-3-2-2-1. it is 99.573%. I changed the RF w/deuce to 250 / 4000, but I left it as 1 coin - hence the 158% number. If I look at max coin, it says it is 336%.

Dang technology.

Actually, full pay deuces, at full coin, is 100.76%. That 99.573% figure is for less than full coin.

My bad again. I was looking at one coin VPW - not max.

It's a good thing that I do not care that much about paytable returns, since I don't play enough for the math to work it through.

I try and make the math work it through. But on days like today with no quads on draw poker in over 7 hours, nothing works. I also had 6 hours on Deuces Wild with no quad deuces.

What are the odds on hitting all 3 hands while holding 4 to the wild royal? This happened to me Friday. I am 0 for 21 this month on natural 4 to the royal yet I can hit these 3 hands that easy?

You have five cards to hit a wild royal though...one of two deuces or one of the three other royal cards.

(5/47)^3 = 0.001203972 = 1 in 830.584

I saw a guy at one of my local casinos go 3 for 3 on making quads from trips in a DDB game a couple of years ago. That's 1 in 12,978. The fact he showed no emotion whatsoever made me a little sad.

No reason to feel sad! Perhaps he was in a turmoil internally! When I hit something great, I feel great but show no emotion nor will you hear me scream! No need to alert others to my new found wealth and entice someone to try to remove that money from me!

Well hopefully that's the reason, but he was only playing nickels, so the hit was only worth $37.50 anyway. Which is also another possible reason why he didn't react to it.

Just a more fun experience when people get excited about good results. The more i think about it, the more likely he was still decently in the hole after that, hence the no reaction.

I would at least have taken an extra long sip out of my beer. Ever notice that when players hit something anywhere around 10 for 1 or higher, they take a sip of whatever they are drinking? I even do it myself while the credits are rolling up.
