Re: Golden Nugget Opening
Stopped at the Golden Nugget Tuesday 12-9-14... Lots of glitz!! The
casino is open along with the Hotel. There is still a lot of work being
down around the property along with the golf course that's not open yet.
Lots of video poker machines thru out the casino, bar tops, slant tops
and some of the older up right machines.. The pay tables on all the
single line machine that I looked at are terrible/tight.. Played at some
slant tops and the main bar for a few hours, nothing good to report
dropped a quick $200. without even hitting one quad..Left and went to my
favorite casino Coushatta and manage to win back what I lost.. My over
all take is this is a beautiful property with a lot of smoke and
mirrors, reminds me of Vegas. I'm sure that I will stop there again thru
out next year, but with the poor pay tables only luck will bring on any
good payouts.
We did the same thing-went back to Coushatta after dinner to play where the odds were good. Part of our current dilemma is where we want to spend New Year's Eve - we have reservations at both.

I have spent many a New Year's Eve with my wife and friends at Coushatta. The casino is always like a mob scene, that's one night that you just can't even move or get to a machine to play. So just plan on socializing and having a few drinks. Then just as soon as mid night strikes and the hugs and kisses are over you are better off heading for your room and gambling New Years Day... I won't mind spending one New Years Eve at the Golden Nugget just to experience the difference, maybe next year. Love to hear about your New Years Eve experience at which ever casino you stay at.

Did you get your Golden Nugget Card to match your Coushatta card level?
If not you can get the same level and then contact Justin or one of the host and see if you can get in for NYE.

[/QUOTE]I will have to check in on upgrading my card at the Golden Nugget, I just quickly sighed in when I was there and got their first level card. Not planning any NYE casino trip this year, going to set this one out... Let us all know how your NYE trip goes.

They will match whatever level you have at Isle, Coushatta, or LDL. Take your top level card and ID. Also we understand they give 1 point for each $10 coin in versus $20/point at Coushatta. However; the 10¢ cash back for Black VIP at Coushatta is the best I've found.
