Re: Don't mess with seniors
When I've mentioned some of my past charitable endeavors someone on this site has said that he didn't believe me. I turned the other cheek and it got slapped too.wth is wrong with you? seriously, we have this nice pleasant thread going, and THIS is what you plop in its midst?Fine, provide the exact thread link/url where I denied the veracity of some "charitable endeavor of yours" and I will apologize and send you a whitman's sampler....I am not going to flat out say "I did no such thing" because, given how you usually operate and never tell the whole story, I am certain that, IF...IF I did such a thing it ws in response to some insult or garbage you first posted. Why would you ruin everyone else's enjoyment of this thread with this pathetic potshot / stab at attention??? Do you see whatever "damage" you MIGHT have done me is dwarfed by the self inflicted damage to yourself? DO YOU?????!?!?!

Yes, it was a nice little story originally posted by Olds and I commend his acts of generousity.
But for your tale of accepting money and then paying it forward;I don't buy it.

Even though this is the "Anything & Everything" section, I empathize with your posts and if anyone bothered to read my last post in another section/thread, I propose (once AGAIN) that he and I simply not post to each other, EVER. I do not visit, play or post here nearly as much as I was a couple months ago (I have found other interests on the net), so I am certain I can uphold my end of this ridiculous yet needed arrangement.

I happened to be in a fast food burger joint the other day when an elderly couple walked in. They ordered a single hamburger and fries and sat down at a booth. The old man counted out the fries, setting exactly half of them in front of himself and half in front of his wife. He then cut the burger exactly down the middle, again setting half in front of himself and half in front of his wife. He then started in to eat while his wife watched. The manager walked up to the couple and asked if he could help with anything. The old man replied, "no, thank you, we're doing fine. It's just that we're on a fixed income and this kind of meal is a great treat for us. We divide it exactly down the middle, half and half, because we've shared everything in our lives equally since we were married over 60 years ago.""But why isn't your wife enjoying her half of it then?""She will, just as soon as I get done with the teeth."bada-BING

I like what you did, and sounds like a typical McDoodles, I refuse to go to them any more, no wonder they are losing their butt.

Love this story and also love that "seniors" have the time to mess with managers like this - will be retired at the end of the month and look forward to handling "situations" like this - normally if I was in a hurry on the way to work - I would pay the "full" amount for the biscuit.... not if I have all the time in the world to bust chops! - so looking forward to my leisure time - it's payback time!
