I like getting the loose coins.-----------------------------------------Me too. But who wants to go out of their way for them? A special trip to the cage for an annoying and awkward transaction. At this point I'd avoid the machine altogether and go straight to the damn cage. This does work in my favor by reducing the business at the machine near my beloved full pay VP bank. One VP actually abuts the redeemer. So, I'd welcome the system in AC.
The best tito story I ever had was about 5 years ago an elderly cleaning
lady found tickets worth over 70 dollars in total under a machine she
was sweeping.
Since I've been playing $5 machines a bit lately, you would be surprised how many times I have found $10-$20 still in the machine when I walk up.  Nice bonus if you're playing $5 single coin.

Foxwoods has these machines everywhere and I hate it. I don't mind walking to the cashier, but for the biggest casino in the U.S they have three cashiers that are miles apart and not kidding about the distance.

Foxwoods must have its own zip code. Thankfully I can avoid them.

As mentioned we have had those machines in Arizona for awhile. Usually, we try and have an even dollar amount on the tickets. However the Tito machines take a number of tickets at a time and give you a cumulative total so you can put all the coin tickets in and only wind up with one.

Looked at the LA. Gaming reports which used to include "Admissions". Funny how that data is no longer available. So I had to go back to 2012 reports to find a report that still had them. In June 2012 Lake Charles' two casinos had 500,000+ admissions. So current admission numbers may be comparable. If the average player failed to cash out even a 50¢ coin ticket the casinos take would increase by $250K per month.

Yeah, we found Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun to be really tough on the bad knees.

Luckily, Coushatta has a cashier's cage next to the drink station just 50 feet from where we normally play. Oops! That cage closes on weekday nights early leaving us to use the Ticket Redemption machines or walk across the largest gaming floor in La. - which is also of course the opposite direction from where we head to our rooms. The price you pay for leaving with a ticket.

I don't mind the long walks in the casino. In fact, sometimes in the middle of the night when it is dead, I will walk the whole place at Mohegan a few times looking for anything unusual machine wise. At 67, I need to keep walking and do stairs as much as possible especially with the toll sitting at a machine can take. My walk is just under a run level and am fortunate to still be able to do it. I feel for those of course not as fortunate with agility and mobility issues and there are many my age and younger. On rainey or damp days though, those old football injuries really kick up and I have to try extra hard to stretch it out. So far, Mohegan is keeping the cash machines with coin, but I am sure sooner than later they will disappear too. I never really checked to see if the staff is allowed to keep tickets and have been tipping in cash. I will be checking into it though asap.
