I play VP for peanuts now and bought my wife a $40,000 kitchen instead.  Believe me, I got my money's worth.

Super car KO. At least Dodge remained true to the styling of the original, where chevy missed the boat on the camaro imo. Wish I still had my 68 Charger 440 RT. I would love to run it side by side with yours for a 1/4 mile or so, but I think I would lose. My friend had a 66 Hemi Satellite 426 and I think that would be a little closer. Wish the casinos had a vp game with a muscle car bonus round. That might keep me there even with a 95% return.

edited to add.....just looked it up KO. Your car with the scat pack beats both. Pretty close with the Hemi Satellite though. Wow...best of luck with the car.

I traded in my Corvette, almost went with the Hellcat but changed my mind because the car was all motor and they wanted $10K above the sticker. I'm happy with the Challenger scat pack, the car has everything and you get to ticker around with all the settings. Dodge has really stepped up their game, who knows I may end up trading in my Ford F250 for a Dodge truck the next go around.

Phil, you're the smart one in the bunch, playing for peanuts is the obvious choice around here now. I read your cheap strategy threads but I'm so darn stubborn. For 17 years running I played $2 denomination DDB and TDB and my results were good, I really only finished ahead in one of those years but I always managed to hoover around the advertised payback percentages. Since 2011 I can't even come close, every year was almost identical, 95.3%, 95.6% and 95.3%, it's crazy. For 2015 I'll end up in about the same place if not worse according to my records, the good news is I played less and dropped down to $1 denomination so my loss in actual dollar amounts is less. I did find some machines at the casino I said is so good, I had no idea they were there. I'll probably stick to those machines because they don't offer the $5 denomination which seems to chase off the cigar smokers. In one moth of playing those machines with the same exact pay tables for TDB I've hit 1 royal flush, quad aces w/kicker twice and three sets of quad 2's, 3's and 4's with kicker. In over 60K hands of the same game with the same pay tables at the small market casino I haven't hit a single premium hand. Not all vp is created the same.

I would think it would be decent fuel mileage, my car weighs in at around 4K and surely your truck isn't any more than that.

My RAM RT weighs about 5,000 pounds.  If you don't drive it crazy, it gets about 17-18 MPG which isn't all that bad for a 400 hp truck.  I've had this truck for about two years and it's been great.  These days, Dodge vehicles are some of the best around.

As long as I have seemed to turn this thread into a car guy show for the moment, I would love to see a 1963 ford lightweight galaxie with the 427 side oiler engine go up against KO's scat pack challenger. No rush to get back to vp for me, but I guess we must for now. I think that would be a really close race. By the way, beautiful truck Phil. The Mrs. loves the look of the Benz SL class roadsters. If we ever get one it would be used, I just cringe at the potential service and repair costs.

It's a great looking truck and you're right Dodge is kicking butt and taking names. I have to take my 2011 F-150 to get the transmission checked tomorrow, something isn't right. Like always the warranty expired about 3K miles ago. May look real hard at the new Dodge 1500 diesel.

I agree in general Phil, but the 0-60 times for the Scat pack challenger and the lightweight are pretty close. Motor trend got 0-60 of 4.2 for the scat pack and several tests had the 63 in the 5 second range. To get really close to the challenger, I guess it would have to be the 64 Fairlane Thunderbolt that had a time of 4.5 seconds. That had the 427 as well.
I actually back had in the day a rare 63 Ford Galaxie conv. with a strange little V-8 of only 221 cu.in. It had a special order full tonneau cover. It was a beautiful car with new factory color torquoise paint and extra reinforcement of the frame underneath done by a really smart local steel worker. My co worker's mom had bought it new and they sold it to me. Sadly, it wouldn't fit in my garage by a couple of inches. I still remember delivering it to a buyer who we met up in Danbury Ct. just before a big snowfall. You won't believe the price. Just 900 bucks. And there are no extra zeroes in there. There was a story with this car which I never tried to verify. It was supposed to go to the 64 World's Fair in Ny. Ford decided to go with their 64 cars. I remember going to the fair and riding in one of the 64 Mustangs. It was part of their magic skyway exhibit.
On to vp for a moment. If all is well at home with the folks, I plan a run up tonight. I read a recent post about switching games on the same machine. I have had some success with that. It happened by starting out with a job session which was quadless for many hours. Switched the game to airport deuces and the 5 of a kinds started coming followed by 4 deuces a short time later. That was only one session, but it was a fun one at the end. That is on the agenda if I am able to get up there late tonight.
