I agree with billryan. If you play 440 hands of 100 line video poker (44,000 total) you should not expect to get a royal flush.
Not short run of course, but long term the results should be exactly the same. I don't play hundred line games anyway. My max is 5 lines and more often than not it is 1 or 3.

I am still having a very difficult time getting my mind around the fact that, apparently, the royal you reported in early April, did not break the streak.

My last royal was April 2015, over a year ago.

The wife hit one on 4/30. I think I posted about that. Prior to that, I have been counting only single line games, or in the case of a little spin poker play, counting the deal line which is the center line. On April 6th, I did hit one on the top line on spin poker. which I did not count because up until a couple of sessions ago, just the single line games or the deal line ( center line ) on spin poker were being counted.
To speed things up a bit a couple of sessions ago like I posted, I started counting all hands since I am now playing only spin poker with either 3,4,or 5 lines.
If I counted from the last one hit in Jan up until the April 6th hit all lines played, I would have already exeddded the 500k number again. I know this is a bit confusing, so like I posted the other day, I am going to keep it simple by just playing spin poker with 3,4,or 5 lines and counting all of them. That way, I will either hit the 500k number without one again much quicker, or start hitting them on one of the lines and at that point, my test will be over and either reset or I will make a decision on dumping this casino.
What concerns me the most about Mohegan Sun is my inability to hit a royal on a single line quarter game on the 99% games and also the inability to hit one on the center or deal line on spin poker games. Now should they start hitting on line 2,3,4,or 5 and average out to every 40k or 50k hands or so, fine, but I will still wonder why they are not hitting on the center line. Anyway, from here on I will be keeping it simple as posted above. Luckily, the two machines I am playing do pay 800 for just one coin bet. Otherwise, it would just be too expensive to continue. The dollar machine which is one of the 2 actually has a 98.8% paytable for the bonus deuces wild game. The other quarter one unfortunately, only has a 97.2 or so paytable because it only pays 10 for the straight flush instead of 13 like the dollar machine and on deuces wild, you do hit a considerable amount of straight flushes. Anyway, that is the rest of the story so far.

Olds, Do you ever play the 99.95% Pickem's. They still have to be the best games at MS.

I really hate to open this topic again, but based on the circumstances, I really think I need to bring it up. Most know from my prior posts, that I have had 2 Royalless streaks of over 500k hands in the last couple of years. Unfortunately, the streak is off and running again. All of these results are from just one casino, Mohegan Sun. The last one on a single line game I had was in early January. The last couple of sessions I have been playing 3 or 5 line spin poker mainly because I found a couple of machines with a good paytable on Bonus Deuces Wild which is my favorite game. The 98.91 machines at Mohegan Sun from what I have found only offer regular Deuces Wild and only on single line to get that paytable.
I posted the other day about how I was now up to 271k hands without a Royal. I had another marathon Sunday night and part of today, and unfortunately, the trend continues. The play pattern is about the same. I play either 3 or 5 lines. Some on quarter play and some on dollar. This time the average was 2400 hands per hour for a total on 11 hours. Don't worry. I did take my breaks in between and even got a little sleep. So this time we will have to add another 24,600 hands to the total. I will even round it down to 24,000 hands to make my new new Royalless streak total 295,000 hands.
Luckily, the session ended up about even with a very small loss of under fifty bucks. I did catch quad deuces Sunday night on 3 lines and once on the center line only this morning on the dollar machine. That would make them hitting about every 6k hands which is a little off, but within reason. The Royal situation though is starting to bother me and my wallet big time though. Not that it matters, but there were no Royals hit by anyone within my earshot either last night or this morning. I also did catch my share of wild Royals and a couple of times, they were dealt so I caught them on either 3 or 5 lines. I had a total of 6 chances at a Royal where I just needed the one card. What I thought was odd is that every time it was in spades. I also noticed the card I needed appeared somewhere in the next dealt hand all six times. I thought that was a little weird too. Edited to add this one item. These All Star machines do pay 800 for 1 for the Royal for just one coin bet on the spin poker option only. That is why I play them. I could never afford the dollar machines otherwise. I am curious if anyone out there who plays All Star machines on the spin poker option also gets the 800 for 1 paytable for just 1 coin bet. That is one thing I can't argue about. The paytable where I play is 25/20/13/4/3/3/1/1 making it a 98.8% game. I forgot to add that I hit 5 Aces a number of times and that pays 80 for 1. The 25 number above is for the wild royal.

I'm curious, do you see other people hitting them there? I ask this question because 95% of my vp years ago was played at one casino and I used to hit my share of royals and I saw other players hit them plenty also. Back then I got to know a man and wife that played single line $1 DDB all of the time who said they would hit 50 or so each year between them. The casino was bought out and all the vp machines were replaced (don't know why as the other machines were in very good shape). Next thing I knew I was in a royal slump, couldn't hit one to save my life and wasn't seeing anyone else hit them either. I would check with the man and wife every so often and see if they had hit a royal and it was always the same answer, nope not a one. After a couple of years I couldn't help but notice the I wasn't seeing the couple at the casino anymore. I continued to play at the same casino because I was still doing pretty decent without the royal. During a 10 year period at that casino I hit 1 royal and only saw 1 other person hit one. Ran into the couple a few back and they were happy playing elsewhere and they're royals were back. I ask them where they had been playing and decided I would try my luck there also, I hit 6 royals there my first year and 6 the second year. During 6 years of play at that casino I've also had 5 dealt royals.

I do see other people hitting, but most all of the old regulars are gone now. The people who are hitting seem to be non regulars. I can't remember the last time I saw a regular hit one. The only thing keeping me going right now is hitting the quad deuces about on schedule. Sometimes, I have to increase my bet though so when they do hit, at least I will be even. One of these days, my bet will get too high, but I have a cutoff limit of 500 bucks a session and so far, I haven't hit that. I know I will though or the casinos would all be OOB.

Unfortunately, I just don't care for that game. I don't really know why though. I think it may have to do with seeing a premium hand on the screen that you can't get at.
