Bill, So within 11 minutes of my post you have quickly come up with 4 examples of Trump saying something stupid in 2014. Kudos to your memory or ability to look for these items on the internet.I am begining to wonder about you being an aspiring AP, what with all the posting you do here. Whoa wait.....Ok, you CHALLENGED my assertion about Trump's statements on Obama's Golf habits. which I initially made hoping you'd do more to defend your obvious enthrallment with this horribly unqualified person now serving as president.....So Billy beat me to it and showed my point to be 100% valid. So rather than simply acknowledge it or come up with a counter point, you do this......CAn you define some horrific scenario or tragic event in which you would finally be willing to concede that Trump is already shaping up to be the worst choice for president ever? WHat would have to happen? I'm really asking.....because just now Trump took time to totally BLAME Obama for what happened to that poor guy Wambier in north Korea....according to Trump (and Wambier's parents) its deplorable what the "previous administration" did or did not do to try and secure wambier's release, and that it would have been different somehow if Trump were president sooner....Ok, fine.....HOW exactly would Trump have secured the release of this American Citizen who CHOSE to put himself in such a precarious position by even setting foot in a place like North Korea, and then allegedly trued to steal a propaganda poster and was sentenced t0 15 years (which obviously also included Torture)......What should Obama have done IN ADDITION to all the things his administration DID do to try and get Wambier released? Start a war? There were no additional sanctions that have not already been imposed on North Korea so that's no longer effective.....My point is this type of outburst and partisan crap from Trump and certain Republicans DOES NOTHING except worsen the current state of affairs, in addition to being totally wrong and unfair and inaccurate etc.

DB, How in the heck did you get the impression that I was "enthralled" with the guy. What were you reading? No matter what I think of him personally, all I said was give him a chance, just like we gave Obama a chance. As to the golf stuff, I honestly didn't hear Trump say anything about Obama playing too much golf. I wasn't paying any attention to the man back in 2014. I guess an internet search can turn up just about anything you're looking for. A close family member of mine who is a liberal and who I love dearly still doesn't believe that Obama said if you like your Doctor you can keep your Doctor and if you like your plan you can keep it. As well as his healthcare plan will save the average family $2,500 a year. She still doesn't believe he said those things. So i guess we all have selective memory.I think you said you will be in AC at the end of June. If you are, I will meet you for a drink or a bite to eat, on me and you will see I am an even minded person. I am a civil engineer that just has been taught to think logically and to solve problems.

No problem here. The problem with politics in America these days is both parties are being dominated by extremists. The loudest Democrats are socialists who think the government should give you everything you want for free and the rich should pay for it. Republicans want America to be the policeman of the world and the Tea Party will shut down the government just so they can get their way. This leaves no room for people in the middle who are the majority. In the last presidential election we had a choice between a life long political hack and an egotistical rich boy from New York. Not much of a choice if you ask me.I like what Trump is trying to do for American workers, but it looks like he's all talk and no action so far. If he would spend more time actually getting something done instead of tweeting all day, I think he might get somewhere. What really ticks me off is when a great American company like Ford makes a boneheaded decision like they did yesterday to move a manufacturing plant to China. News Flash! China is a Communist county! When I was a kid they told us the communists were going to bomb us and we had to hide under our desks, now we're giving them our jobs. Why any American would ever buy another Ford product is beyond me. Henry Ford must be rolling in his grave. If you sell products in America, they should be made here. When no one in America has a job, who will pay the bills then?

I agree with your take Phil. The worse thing is both sides pander to their flock at the expense of the average American. If your a average blue collar worker you get it from both sides.

If you are, I will meet you for a drink or a bite to eat, on me and you will see I am an even minded person. I am a civil engineer that just has been taught to think logically and to solve problems.Whoa......whooaaa.......WHOA!!!! If you think I am being irrational and illogical then apparently its contagious! Ok perhaps "oblivious" was too strong a word, way back earlier, and I will concede you are NOT enthralled with Trump, but you are seemingly willing to either ignore or tolerate a level of LOW-to-nonexistent integrity and competence from this guy who the people DID INDEED elect (by virtue of the antiquated and warped electoral vote system conceived 240 years ago).....I guess that's what I cannot fathom any longer (if I ever did indeed Fathom it to begin with).....that clearly intelligent people like yourself are perfectly nonchalant and/or accepting of the outrageous level of ignorance, hypocrisy and flat out dishonesty that this guy is flaunting during his first 6 months in office. His "Chance" as you call it is now, in fact OVER; not because or by virtue of the sheer passage of time (as I have understood it, most first term Presidents typically get around 12-15 months of "honeymoon/goodwill" from even their most strident critics and opponents and then the midterm elections kick in), but Trump cancelled or short circuited his own "Chance" by virtue of his insecure, childish clueless petulant personality, his impulsiveness and his self inflicted chaos.....he bragged and boasted leading up to inauguration about how he would hit the ground running, how efficient and effective his first months in office would be and how hard he would work at "draining the swamp", etc. His campaign, feel-good rah rah Populism and all his absurd promises (like to the Coal industry) are coming due and he has NOTHING to show; but far more ominous, and far far worse is the fact that even if he straightened himself out 100% tomorrow, and stopped all his self destructive idiocy, he has wasted so much valuable early time and good will, and he is still so far behind in even naming, staffing and rounding out his entire administration he still would not get much of anything done any time soon!HE is the PRESIDENT OF THE USA.....THE PRESIDENT!!!!!! there is a minimum standard requirement of a variety of qualities and abilities which EVERY president must possess and maintain, no matter what.....he does not possess them, or if he does he simply does not care or want to manifest them.He is not alone in the chaos and incompetence.....that now is rife and manifest in many places and departments in the Government, congress, both parties and throughout the country. Things are out of control, and I am sure you are smart enough to realize that we are one serious, bonafide crisis (like a Katrina, or other natural disaster, or a major terrorist incident ) from exposing for real the complete inadequacy and incompetence of this man and his "administration"......As for meeting up in AC, sure, that would be swell to finally meet in person, that way you too can put to rest any erroneous or false impressions you may have about me, while at the same time seeing my real bonafide FAULTS juxtaposed with my good qualities, allowing you to make a informed and balanced and accurate conclusion about my standing as a Human Being! Have you also already met Jeter too? I usually meet up with him for at least a drink and snack, sometimes for a nice dinner, whenevr I visit AC for a few days at a time. I can attest he is a awesome person to hang out with in a casino and I KNOW you'd get along fine with him too! My next visit is currently scheduled as follows (keep in mind though, I am journeying from afar, i.e. Western Massachusetts, so do allow for a small amount of uncertainty and potential flux in plans): I shall be there July 10, 11 and 12 (probably at Caesars or Ballys); and then again the following week, July 17, 18 & 19 at Harrahs!I hope one of those (or perhaps even BOTH) visits works for you to swing by and hang out with me for a little while.......let me know, either here in this forum on one of these threads, OR you can email me (let me know if you prefer this mode and I will post my email address here temporarily in this thread.)

You must not have anyone to talk to OR you love the sound of your own voice. I can't force myself to read very far anymore. Your more words approach is crazy.
