C'mon who are you really? Clearly you are an alternate account for an existing poster. I thought that was against the rules?I'm curious. What was there about the post that clearly identified it as being from an alternate account?
Clearly he's a Russian.
HE MAY VERY WELL BE (could also be North Korean, or Chinese, or Iranian, or Cuban or Venezualan) .....It has been established as fact by ALL US intelligence and federal law enforcement agencies (CIA, NSA, FBI, DOD) that Russia has been actively pursuing, infiltrating and otherwise interfering with the USA via the internet and all its avenues of communication and interaction: Facebook, Tweeter/Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc etc. "Cyberwarfare" is simply the newest and latest FRONT, or level, in the realm of warfare, and it is NO Less vital or deadly than the others (Air, Sea and Land)....in fact, given how "Connected" the world is today and how important technology has become, we now know a HACKER sitting in his underwear in Uzbekistan can inflict MASSIVE damage and carnage upon a international company .... or a town .... or a city .... or even a whole COUNTRY if that hacker is able to access and mess with the right systems or centers of control. Before you scoff Casinoknight, know that your own marine corps has its own Cyber unit with eyeglass wearing, pocket protector wearing, keyboard warriors every bit as deadly (and certainly more important) than the typical grunt toting an M-16. Just the latest way of I A O manifesting itself..... (IAO = Improvising Adapting Overcoming)AS TO HOW I KNOW the guy/girl/person making the post was just someone already here utilizing a new account......ANSWER: My gut tells me so......

DB. I'll wager a hundred US dollars to a donut that you won't find one (1) pocket protector in our Cyber Unit, nor on the uniform of one (1) U.S. Marine in the entire Corps. Nor will you find a U.S. Marine using an umbrella during inclement weather.
As to your claim that our Cyber Warriors are"just as deadly as a grunt, is true. But not why you think.
Know this EVERY U.S. MARINE'S PRIMARY MOS IS A RIFLEMAN.

What exactly do you have against pocket protectors or umbrellas? I didn't know having ink stains on your dress shirts or getting soaked needlessly makes you "tough"...
Yes of course, if the north Koreans are blasting away at you with ak74s and it happens to be raining, no I wouldn't expect anyone to worry about umbrellas......
Funny thing, I seem to remember army Captain Winters (101st Airborne) in band of Brothers uttering the same admonishment/statement about every guy's first job in his unit is as a rifleman/infantry....even Patton turned his cooks and anti-aircraft bodies into infantry during the battle of the bulge. Then of course there was that heroic African American cook on that battleship during Pearl Harbor back in December of '41 who, after the Japs shamble-ised his galley, rushed on deck and manned a .50 caliber AA mount (the pre-war naval version, not your beloved MA Deuce) and nailed a Zero.

No seriously, I know a great Gastroenterologist you could see in NYC if you're really in distress....
No but really serious, can you at least tell me that this username's first post suggests a familiarity with the forum, with ME, and with the Dynamics in general to possibly indicate in more than a small manner that he/she/it has posted before....if not then they have definitely been lurking for quite awhile.
Regardless, I have no problem with any of this, I just was hoping to smoke someone out as a cyber schizophrenic, especially since a couple years back my good friend Doris went ape when she suspected I myself (me Daburglar) was posting as some other dude with a French sounding screen name... I don't think we ever resolved if it was ok or even allowed to create and post from more than one account (from the same IP) here on this website.

Per Marine Corps uniform regulations, Marines are not allowed to carry or use umbrellas while in uniform. Female Marines can carry “an all-black, plain standard, or collapsible umbrella at their option during inclement weather†but not with combat uniforms. Same for the revered Pocket Protector.
