Re: Fa La La La La.... La la la la Groupies
One of the many articles on the health aspects of one or two drinks a day--this from Yahoo! today: Please read with comprehension, Dr. OEJ, and if you have any questions just ask.
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - In older people with mild cognitive impairment, having a drink now and then -- up to an average of one drink of alcohol each day -- may delay progression to dementia, new research suggests. Hoochie mama did Bubba just call himself older with mild cognitive impairment???!??!

If you chose to believe that to make yourself feel better about it you have that right. If I felt that strongly about it I guess somedays I might double or triple my dosage. Sorta like a progression. If two don't do the trick try 3 or even 4 or 5.
I was born and raised in the projects so no need to preach about what to be thankful for.
All the way from the ghetto to a 7 figure income and my on Gulfstream. Have broke bread with the likes of Gates, Buffet,Coach Bear Bryant, Chennsey, Hackman, Elvis need I go on. And I have made thousands in donations to Autism research. Dems and the GOP all ride the same horse if it meets their objectives. Their sole purpose after being elected is to get re-elected. They end up doing what the lobbyists with the most money wants.
I know cause I have lobbyists, it is just part of the energy biz and it is only going to get worse with the mid-east trouble and the push for ethanol and other alternatives. In summary: before you and I vote the money has already made their selection. We get to pick from the final 2.
With that said enjoy your JD. If you are right you are safe from developing demintia. But recall all the folks you know with that disease and then remember that drinking did not prevent it for them because most were regular chronic comsumers. Try carrot juice it just might satisfy your craving for the hard stuff. Give it time to work. You might find that your skin takes on an orange tint but it will pass in a few weeks.
Good luck my Friend.
May the force be with you.

I reckon having a spouse cook them at home after she has toiled all day to earn a much needed paycheck is good.
I seem to remember bubba telling me in the past that he did all the cooking. I guess I'll just add that one to the long list of tall tales.
Yup, but the 6-figure income eases the toil

You remember well....except for the usual selective part of it. I cook when I'm home during the week only. In addition to being an engineer in the aerospace indstry she also has a culinary arts degree. That's what makes me smile and shake my head at the same time when I read how the Queen drags her poor lover to the casinos everyday even in his poor aging health, and how Dancer requires his probably formerly very ambitious wife to play as much vp as he does.
OEJ: You da black man. 7 figures and still playing 25c vp with opinions to boot. Where did Barkley go wrong??
I'd rather hear about your chopped off finger than your piloting. I had a license for 16 years before it got boring. My fingers are still in tact but if I were ever to lose one I'd certainly confide in you. With 16 inch biceps I guess the number of fingers really doesn't matter....or was it the capacity of the brain. Pretty hard to tell, don'tcha think?

Yes I do.
I cook when I'm home during the week only.
Do you use a progressive salting system?
I had a license for 16 years before it got boring.
Yawn. What a surprise ... another bubba unsubstantiated boast.

Partially correct. Uses a progressive shot system with Jack Daniels.

Why's that a "boast"? Lots of people around here have licenses. I know being locked up in a roomful of geeks at IBM and then leading a life consumed by, eh-em, video poker is an atrocity, but there are people out there not inflicted with that type of existence. Just look at OEJ. As misled as he is he said he has one now.
BTW--How much would you like to bet I have had a pilot's license? Would you care to back up your silly assertion here in front of others? Here's a hint: You'd make more money if you bet OEJ.

Right there Rob Argentino. (What tribe is that name from).
The reason is I have more money than you and that will always be a fact. I have created a stream that flows like the mighty Mississippi.

Typical video poker playing addicts' types of food (which BTW is a favorite all around the slums of Wash. DC): low-class greasy fried chicken, cheap boxed cornbread, and BBQing fat-laden ribs. Yummmmmy! Now toss in Tanya Harding as the cook & North Las Vegas as the site and you've got one classy slop-fest.
Rob: If you can't contain yourself from maligning and disparaging the members of the forum, than would you please stay in your own forum(Fa La La La La.... La la la la vs. Shadowman)? That forum was created so that we would'nt have to wade through reams of ridiculous back and forth arguments and innuendo. To be fair, i should also add that Rob is'nt the only person who is behaving inappropriately on this forum.
