The struggle is real...
Started with a br of $490 tonight with .25c 5 play deuces. Started very well. Hit a quad deuce on a 5 card redraw on the first line early then hit another one not long after that one and found myself up $500 in about 10 minutes. I had time and felt good so kept playing and saw the profit dwindle slowly to back to about even. Had to go to the bathroom, so cashed out up around $21 dollars and found the bathrooms were being worked on and had to go to the farther ones. So the other area is close to the game that started it all, the progressive 3 bank of .25c single line 10/6 double double bonus with the progressive Royal at $1,260. I don’t remember ever seeing it that high, made the game around 100.6% ER and with the players card almost 101% ER. At any rate, I couldn’t pass it by and started the grind on the 10/6 DDB. Almost right away hit aces no kicker, then dwindled down. Was down $200 when I hit deuces with kicker and back at even where I more or less stayed for a longer time.
Fortunately, the VP gods did not want to throw three strikes after healthy losses the last two sessions and saving three A’s hit the 4th with the kicker and cashed out $900 for a total profit tonight of +$410.
It’s a nice outcome, for, having another healthy loss tonight especially after being up $500 early and the other hits would of been a tough pill.
Cheers!

Dan, Where do you play in Vegas? Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch?

Aliante with a very tiny amount at Santa Fe and fiesta...due to close proximity to the casa and decent vp games. I have no doubt vp players can shop around and find other opportunities, better promos, but proximity and drive time are important to me.
Cheers

Stubbornness wins the day...
Tonight was supposed to be a very cold session with a nice donation to the casino, but the rng (random number generator) had different plans. Started with the usual $500 br of .25c 5 play deuces and probably in under 7 minutes found myself with $250 left. Very unusual for this game and was just hitting blanks all over the place. At $6.25 a spin, it won’t take too long on a cold session to go to zero. It didn’t take long. About 25 minutes later, went to zero.
I was a bit shell shocked. I know these sessions can and will happen, but nevertheless, seems to surprise me a bit when they occur. I usual at least get some play out of it, one of the reasons I choose this particular game was the ability to last awhile and accumulate a motherload of points and comps. The reason I don’t choose 9/6 DDB on this machine not 9/7 DB is the variance reducer of the wilds.
At any rate, I felt unsatisfied, stubborn, and wanted to play more. So I had $400 left in my pocket and decided to either hit something or go home wishing I just went home.
Right away again, it was cold. Missing all over the place. Down to almost a $100 I figured it was my fate to get beaten tonight when I save 3 diamonds to a Royal. The first line hit a royal with deuce and for a split second I was like, okay, more ammo for the battle, when on the last line glory be I popped the other two royal diamond cards for the Royal flush. Another come from behind save...this one a big one, and end up ahead +$247. We accomplish the great escape this time around.
Cheers!

Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. More relief than joy.
