96%! That’s an offer I can refuse. Quadfather defied all the odds and should have hit up a lottery outlet on the way home.

Infortunately, in Ct at.least as far as I know, there are no 99 percent multiline games.
Olds - I'm honestly starting to think that you want to dissuade others from playing at Mohegan Sun (or Foxwoods) because this statement is just untrue and has been, literally, for over two decades!! I'll qualify that remark to state that my personal knowledge is good as of about 6pm Sun 3/13/22 but I'm willing to bet nothing substantial has changed since then.

What many believe is that some casinos remove 99+ machines because they want to screw us all but that is exactly the opposite in some cases. Often machines are removed because they are underperforming. I had a very long conversation with someone at MS recently (high enough up the chain to be relevant) and he specifically mentioned that their decision making is usually based on the machines actually being played and, of course, if they must be replaced due to age. Think about the recent moves of the VP machines next to Sunset (that you often play). Notice that many video slots were removed and the VP machines replaced them from a positioning standpoint. What makes more economic sense? Take out the well played VP machines (that return nearly 99 with perfect play on some games) and leave the underperforming slots or vice versa?? No matter how good the game payout, most humans make errors and rarely can someone get that 99 unless they plan to live forever and commit to playing with the precision of a computer. Because I periodically ask for machine stats, I have noticed certain games on multi game machines approaching theoretical returns (pick em is a good example because of low player error rates) but overall, the machine itself is performing usually well under expectation when averaging all game returns over a long, long period of time.

The reason you choose to play a game you know has a bad long term return is that:

1) you know you are playing in the short term, and
2) you may potentially overcome the theoretical return within that short term play if you hit more than expected premium hands like in deuces or joker kings.

Perhaps I'm not right about that but I think I am because you are usually underroyaled most of the time and you know it's impossible to make up that extra 2% or so playing 99.54 jacks or 99.95 pick em (the latter having a royal cycle so difficult it's nearly impossible to overcome and the former being about as interesting as watching paint dry). If I was as lucky as you are at hitting deuces or quints in joker kings above expected frequency, I might abandon playing some games with higher theoretical returns as well.

I suppose my point here is that if many of us keep playing the machines with "bad" paytables the casinos will happily keep them running and add more. They are just keeping the customers happy.

I fully understand why you play the machines you play and I don't think MS is going to pull them or add more based solely on your play or mine, but for the rest of the individuals on this board perhaps looking for some solid information, please refrain from commenting on the availability of anything until you have personally surveyed all of the assets. Given that you play at MS very, very frequently and have done so for many, many years, I would think, by now, that you would have taken the time to check at least all of the VP machines in Sky at 3am on a random Tuesday. I think you can do it in about 2 hours by skipping all machines with keno or perhaps just by spreading it out over a month. I was seriously considering an updated full inventory but it's impossible to do so during the busy times and, honestly, the few preferred machines haven't changed much.

Hmmmmmm!! Guess I will have to check again. Since I usually only check on Job games, Deuces or Bonus Deuces Wild games, Joker Kings, and sometimes DDB, it is possible I have missed a machine or two. That has a 99 percent pay-table on a multiline game. If I find one at the quarter level, I would certainly play it. I haven’t been to Foxwoods in 2 years, so maybe something has changed there. This is easy for me to do at that hour as That is usually when I am playing.

Ugh! As I was adding to the above post, I evidently ran out of time where I can add to it. So attached are screen shots of what I tried to add. They may be a bit out of order. I just didn’t feel like retyping everything at 3:30 AM. I think they read from bottom up even though I checked them off in photos the other way. As I have said before , I barely get around with tech stuff.

One last thought. The vp machines they very recently pulled from Sky at least on the games I cited that were not 99 percent games and I never played them. They were always well played though. I am still very burned up and there is nothing I can do about it that my lone 800 for bet one dollar game at the end-of the row in sky ( on spin poker setting) was quietly changed to not bet 5 but to bet 15 to get paid 800 for one on the Royal. I used to give that machine a ton of play and also left the casino with a huge profit on it. That was pre covid shut down. I will still take Mohegan Sun over Foxwoods any day of the week though due to a multitude of factors. Most of them posted about over the years.
