Just curious....why do you say that 7stars players automatically get comped limo rides from reno airport to Tahoe? I've spoken to my host many times and didn't hear that.

Well over half of what we have learned about the benefits of the 7 star program was from either other 7 star players or from sevenstarinsider.com. Call your host and ask him. You should not have to but sometimes you have to ask. Let me know what he says.

Joe, just wondering if you ever talked to your host about comp limo transportation to Lake Tahoe. I just noticed when I went over to sevenstarinsider.com that he is saying that even though it is 53.6 miles from the Reno airport the limo perk is not automatic anymore. He further went on to say to check with your host to see if he can still get it for you.

We have been going to Tahoe for a long time and upon becoming 7 star have always taken this perk for granted. We have confirmation for our trip this weekend and will be keeping an eye on this. I know that with the ongoing BK that CET is going to cut as many of the perks they think they can get away with without making their players mad. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I've been told you need a higher ADT to get a limo.....such as 750.   Otherwise you need to rely on the diamond aspirations trip or 7stars trip for the limo. By the way, what's a typical tip for the limo driver on that long of a ride?

Your ADT should be over approaching or exceeding 750 as much as you are running through the machine. Do you know for sure what your ADT is? I wish I knew the formula for calculating ADT. I don't even think the hosts know.

I usually tip $20 to $30 and on a couple occasions a little more to the limo driver. I bet you will enjoy the limo ride.

I guess our host at Tahoe is not as bad as I thought he was. And the main thing the more I think about it is you play all video poker. My wife and I play on the same card and she plays mostly on $1 and $5 reels with some occasional higher than that thrown in. I just asked her and she said our ADT fluctuates between 680 and 800 at Tahoe.

Is that tip 20-30 total or per person?

You probably got the email announcing the signature events this year. They are in four cities this year (instead of two). However it looks like the cruise options are gone. When you are in Tahoe next week, see if you can find out what concert will be going on during the Tahoe event. I'm sure something is planned.

The $20 to $30 is the amount I normally tip total when it is just my wife and I each way.

That's too bad they are not going to be doing a cruise as a signature event anymore.   Although we took full advantage I am surprised the cruises were offered in the first place.

We will probably do the Tahoe signature event as well unless they add back the cruises. If I can find out who the concert will be or anything else about it I will let you know. My wife thinks it will be the Dave Matthews Band since they are already scheduled for two performances in September.

Can you describe the limo? Is it more like a town car, or is it a true limo where you can raise the window between you and the driver to have privacy?   Do they stock it with drinks (wine, beer, etc.)?

Also, have you ever been to Tahoe in the winter when there has been lots of snow? Is it a difficult drive to the hotel?

They have a whole fleet of limos. We normally get one of the larger ones that is big enough to hold 6 to 8 people comfortably. They are fully stocked with a wide selection of small bottled wines and alcohols and soft drinks, juices, and water. They also have a selection of chips to snack on as well.

We have driven over and back several times in the winter when there was snow on the ground and never had a problem. Granted it was not in blizzard conditions but I think they carry chains with them in case.

It's not difficult to figure ADT, but if you've got ~$700 ADT, then you're doing GOOD! (I'd imagine it's mostly from your wife playing slots, because video poker doesn't earn too much)
