I think that TIMSPEED saying you get a 4oak every 400 hands is perfectly acceptable.
That's not quite how he said it. He said you will "usually" get a quad every 400 hands. Having played a lot of video poker, and having endured many, many extended quad droughts, I felt that way of putting it was somewhat fanciful - hence my comment.

TIMSPEED I looked for you in the HLR at Harrah's Lake Tahoe and called but got no answer after the Jefferson Starship concert that was really good by the way. Thanks to my wife nailing a number of big hits on $5 slots we are up for the trip. Video poker wise I am fairly close to even with a deecnt amount of 4oak's. Can't complain because the best hit on the trip so far is 4 fours. All of the other quads hit so far were ordinary. Feel very fortunate to be close to even for the trip.

If you are still in the area and want to hook up give me a call some time tomorrow afternoon.

Without witnesses, I'm still convinced that timspeed doesn't exist. Probably just a 12 year old message board junkie.

Yikes....that thin air up there is like being a couple of miles from the sun. Take care of that right away. It may get you years later like it did me.

That's funny. You may be right. I know I showed up and it was his idea to meet. No big deal. It's pretty lame to ask to meet up with someone and give that type of excuse.

So how was the trip? I heard they got some snow. I'd love to read a trip report.

Overall we had a great trip. We ended up gambling wise down just a little. But because we were entertaining our friends who had never been to Lake Tahoe before we are wore out. We still have one more day before heading home but we are going to detox and stay in the room and watch movies. We have already watched "The Gambler". The movie itself was not that good but if it was up to me I would give John Goodman an Oscar for his role he played in the movie.

Originally I was going to ski today but when we did the gondola ride on Sunday the snow conditions up on the mountain were just too slushy for my comfort level. When we rented a car and drove around the lake yesterday we noticed several of the ski resorts were closed due to lack of snow.

Tahoe was packed. There were people everywhere. We had a hard time finding places to park at the scenic overlooks around the lake when we stopped to take pictures. Both Harrah's and Harvey's were busy as well. We also checked out the new Hard Rock Casino. They did a good job on the remodel but not really the type of place we would be interested in gambling at. They appear to be catering to the 20 and 30 something clientele.

As far as dining goes, on Sat. night we ate at 19th Kitchen at Harvey's, Sunday night at Ciera Chop House at Montbleu, and on Monday night at Cafe Fiero on Ski Run Blvd. The meal at Ciera Chop House was by far the best meal. We were a little disappointed at Cafe Fiero. It is widely considered the best restaurant in South Lake Tahoe but because our meal at the chop house was so good it was kind of a let down.

When we get back home in a couple of days I will try to post some pictures. That's all for now. Wife is trying to get me off computer so we can watch another movie.

Nice report.  I think I'm going there late March.  Before I go, I'd like to get details on where to drive around the lake and where the scenic overlooks are.  Unfortunately, even though I rent a car, I don't use it much in Tahoe. Just use it for the Reno part of my trips.
