Ah, gambling with an edge. Only on no brainer Malfunction events like this. Enjoy the $3,800.
What $3,800.00 FAA? The event never happened.

I had a malfunctioning machine on my bank for an hour today. The beeping was driving me insane. The losing was bad enough, and this just rubbed salt in the wound. I had pressed the Slot Attendant button to no avail. I finally complained to a security guard. She said that the slot attendant button on the display above was the active one! So someone came over and fixed it. In desperation, I gave the machine a try. Quick $100 BP quad Aces!

Having read Bob Dancer's article and now realizing the possible consequences, I hereby fully admit that the entire incident was a product of my over-active imagination. Never happened. Let's all move on.
I am not ready to move on.

I believe you took advantage of us. For me anyway, this Forum is not a plaything. I attempt to educate players. If it becomes just a place where people lie about any and everything, that's not how I wish to spend my time.

I believe you owe us all a big apology --- and not just "let's move on."

Bob, maybe I perceived the apology post incorrectly, but I felt Chicagoan may have been being sarcastic and the malfunction maybe really did happen. I can see it from either perspective: it was made up and the OP is redacting the story; or it really did happen and the OP regrets sharing the story after seeing how much attention it received in fear of possible investigation for knowingly taking advantage of a malfunctioning machine.

That is the way I interpreted it.

Because there is always the possibility (notice I am not using the word: probability) of getting a multiplier each and every hand it could be a bit difficult proving that Chicagoan knowingly took advantage of a malfunctioning machine. At worst I see the casino this may or may not have taken place in banning this particular player from the establishment.

Anyone who has played STP or DSTP with any regularity has seen stretches of consecutive multipliers on consecutive hands. They've also gone a hundred or so consecutive hands in a row without getting a multiplier.

Whether or not the OP's story is true, I have no idea.

A very funny post by Chicagoan and i believe you perceived it exactly as he intended.
bd is a catch-all of poor social skills,as mentioned before, add lack of sense of humor to the list.
Humorous, sarcastic, posts ARE a part of this forum! Policing this sight is NOT his job!
Bringing the word "lying" into this is disgraceful and therein lies the only reason for an apology, but don't hold your breath Chicagoan.

Sometimes you are so amazed and flabbergasted that you can't think of a rational response, other than "Wow."

That's a Bob Dancer post for you.

It really doesn't matter if it happened or not, imo. His article is unaffected. He analyzed what he would do in this type of malfunction. I think it was interesting enough to analyze regardless.
